My First Attempt to grow these two strains was a complete disaster. I took advice commonly given for Auto flowers and planted them straight into their Big Pots in the tent to avoid loosing any growing time lost due to transplanting. They literally refused to grow and had not even started their second set of leaves by day 18!
I originally thought the problem was the light..... maybe the TS100 was too strong for seedlings OR that I was unable to control the watering possibly overwatering so I binned them and bought a cheap LED seedling light strip and started again.
Everything going well so far!
This week was really stressful, one plant in particular looked like it was really dying and ALL of the others were starting to droop too.
I was so stressed about overwatering after the last seedlings all failed I had been misting them regularly and adding the tiniest amounts of water but they were going downhill rapidly.
I then had a thought....... maybe my Coco Cana Professional is inert / has no nutrients at all so I mixed up a very weak solution of feed and Hey Presto they perked up in less than 48 Hours and started growing like mad again!
HURRAH!
I decided to get the plants into their Big Airpots and under the TS1000 where they will stay now 24hrs a day.
Its 17 days since the sprouted and they are on their third set of leaves,
The Blue Diesel that's in the bigger pot from seedling is clearly growing the fastest which proves the instruction to plant the seeds directly into their big pots at the start, I just can't risk it again though and it was not a problem on my previous grow using Blue Diesel Autos which had an incredible yield.
Well I've definitely been stressing this week. Two Of the Blue Diesels are growing Strong one is lagging behind a bit but BOTH Gorilla Glues look a bit Sick.
Although everything is exactly the same for them they are NOT happy at all.
Brown Spots on the leaves and the lower ones are being eaten away!! It really does seem to be JUST the Gorilla Glues that are not going well - My Guess is Calcium Deficiency but out water is VERY limescale / calcium heavy.
WATERING - Im also unsure about watering and I'm sure I have over watered a bit, in these pots and with this Canna Coco professional and pearlite its supposed to be almost impossible to over water??
Should I be adding water until some comes out of the bottom or is that not done until the plants are bigger??
The two little runts I put together in the last pot re just NOT growing at all - I may just pull em up and let the three strong ones have the space.
Now thinking about starting LST in a couple of days time.
One of the 5 Plants is doing Great Blue Diesel 5 - Two others are kinda OK
Two are still literally doing NOTHING at all - they just are not growing and are a 1/4 of the size of the others? Like bonsai miniatures.
I just don't get it.
I decided to start LST this week on the Three Biggest Ones.
Also Watered The biggest One very Heavily for the first time - it took over 2.5 litres before I saw a few drips coming out of the bottom of the pot and worried I had drowned the Plant but it seems to Love it so Ive done the other the same.
Actually 10 Days on from my last post all of the Plants are Thriving now,I have done LST on all of them and im counting over 20 decent cola's in the tiny tent.
They really should start flowering any day now And I have Canna BOOST to add to the water as soon as the flowering starts - Smell is Really nice already.
The gorilla Glues are not quite as Vigorous as the Blue Diesel
Note - I am really Micro Managing the LST for each Plant every day and this is REALLY making a massive difference to the number of Colas - Hoping for Some BIG Fat Buds in a few weeks time!!
I am completely dry here with no way of getting any weed other than growing it myself, this crop hopefully last me for a long time.
I have already started off a couple of Laughing Buddah Photo's and am looking forward to popping them in the tent as soon as these are done!
