It's my first try hydroponics. Since my water temperature was around 22 °c I decided to choose beneficial bacteria approach, and work with them. I've inoculate my water using bactorrS13, i'm waiting for mycchor hydro, but for now we will see.
I've made a bio filter myself to gave micro life a support, a home.
I use 200 w quantum board, might try FIM.
I'm waiting for all your suggestions and advice.
Both are going fine, don't worry the rust spot on the big one, that's just nutritive solution.
The little one is a week late compared to the big one.
In the bucket, temperature is very high : 26°c
In the tote it's about 22,2°c.
I assume it's ok since bacteria are doing their job.
I think I might practice a FIM on both of them next week, it will be my first time.
Roots are getting deeper and deeper, starting to create some kind of "web".
Had a little hard time, i fim the yellowish one a bit too early. After that, i got oïdium on both my plants. Had to change the water, try to cure it. I destroyed few leaf trying to clean oïdium from them. I get through that infestation using milk (1/9) and spayer, but they got touched. After the res change i had water fluctuation i haven't noticed, that's probably the reason for the yellow coloring i guess.
Seems like new roots are growing, hopefully enough for a new start, hard time should be behind us for now.
Seems like my effort payed, i've managed to cure oïdium, I changed res water once, for both plant. The first one got her second fim since first one failed. She will get bushy
Second plant is just fine, a little yellowish, but overall, she has a nice growing
New week, new problems :
I realised that even if my ec was stable, my plant was in overfeeding conditions, i changed 1/4 of res water by phed tap water.
Oïdium made is comeback, but it should be ok.
I've started training them using lst.
The tote one will be a beautiful plant with a nice structure, while the other one is a total chaotic bush, that will get big.
Not trying to knock you or anything but I'm not sure what's going on here why does the water look like motor oil and why are your roots so dark and nasty looking I'm also doing my first dwc as well all home made . Very surprised plants are even standing. Yikes
Guess I missed a few pictures overall looks like you fixed something because its definitely starting to look better .I can see the potential and on a whole other note I'm not sure exactly what's being used but my friend did a dwc in his backyard shed using tap water 1 100w metal halide in Las Vegas summer so around 115 degrees o and using bag seeds from the early 2000s like over the border brick nasty weed seeds and that plant puts most peoples operations to shame I think people put way too much stuff in there grow. Hope this helps a bit wish i had pictures but they were taken and developed and been lost over time
