Hempy-Bucket Fastberry

Rabidreject again... i started the diary when the plant was already growing so im just catching up on the diary... UPDATE: SATURDAY Nothing to report about the plants as im not there but iv had such good luck today. Firstly i received a package i was waiting for, however, the postman delivered it with a special delivery package in my name and I have ordered a few things recently so i didnt think anything of it until i opened it and there was half an oz of Jaffa Cake OG. i ordered one at the begginning of the week and then like 3-4 days after recieving that they accidentally sent me anoither 14g. ALSO it was stupidly well priced. Its TOP TOP bud and was £100 for 14g. so i paid £100 for 28g of AMAZING green. Then i settled down to start vaping and the doorbell rings again (i broke my toe a few days ago so im relying on my mum to open the door and bring me my shit lol) she brings up a box and i forgot i had ordered the Mars Hydro TS 600w. Its a quantum board that pulls about 100w from the plug and can apparrently cover half my tent - leaving my frankenstein lights to cover the other half. I've decided im going to 'borrow' a fan or two from my mums house when she takes me back for the day again in a few days, I'm not expecting that much from the mars hydro although i'm expecting a more spread out version of the mini 100w quantum style lights i use that i got off of ebay. it touts something like 2.3umol/j but if it does deliver that id be amazed. I'll let y'all know....

Rabidreject I haven’t been to the grow site since the last update, however, when I was last there I set up irrigation but I don’t think the pump was powerful enough AGAIN. STILL, I used the old one on one pump and the new one on the other plant also one is set up to water on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays every 2 hours or so. This is so I can see if high frequency irrigation is the way to go! I can’t wait to put my new light in there. It’s only the ts 600 but has a rating of foot print for half of my tent at a distance for flowering. I do think I’ll see my yield improve even though it’s still only pulling 100w. My plan is so get another and put it next to it. This way the tent will be filled nicely. Also the info I put I to the boxes above about ph etc are a rough estimation for some of them. How much water I’m giving them for example. They are pretty much watered by the wicking system anyway but I have an auto watering system that does ties third as sat.

Rabidreject Update - Thursday I contacted the guy from hydrocrop, the company who makes the hydrosol nutrients i am using. There is an A+B botttle, however, it isnt like others where A is for grow and B is for bloom. Anyway, he sent me a cannabis specific feed chart for these nutes and within 2 days the plant i was moaning about that was yellow is totally normal now. I finally know how much A and how much B to put in, I will probably use my PK 13/14 also when the buds are more than white pistols! The watering volume i have put in isnt accurate really. I tend to read the plants more than stick to a strict shedule

Rabidreject well...i think it's safe to say they've hit the reservoir now. They exploded in growth so i had to do some lolipopping and some lst. I gently squeezed one of the stems that was in the way and then let it rest upon the side of the tent as it went a little floppy. I'v no doubt it will just harden up where it was weak and then the plant is more spread out. i also made some mini hempies! i had some seeds i intoxicatingly decided to germinate and also cant really remember what they are. i think they are banana blaze auto by dutch passion. They were all stretched out and not looking too ealthy coz i forgot about them so i found like a 2 litre bucket and made it into a hempy....in fact, i did this three times. I just thought, i would stuff my tents and also by the time they get big the biggest one in the small tent will probably have been harvested so there will be some space there. I am going tomorrow, everytime i have been there iv been so rushed i have forgottten to take pictures! I will do that first tomorrow before i do anything else.

Rabidreject UPDATE - Thurs 4th March The week has been fine. I am going there today so you may get an update this evening. Iv been posting on TheWeedTube also so I have much more videos explaining what’s going on. Plants are looking great. I got paid today so I bought an online fan to plug into the thermostat and pull fresh air in through a duct from a cooler part of the flat. In summer it won’t be as useful but to be honest I’ll probably just duct tape the sucky end of the duct to a small ac or Friday type thing, iv not really looked into it yet. Even a hillbilly cooking system would be better than nothing. ( filling a bucket up with ice, water and salt and put the end of the duct into that so it sucks in the cold air). We’ll see! Update - Monday 8th March All is well, I just want the buds to start swelling now. I found some awesome supports in Aldi. They are metal rings that the plant weaves through and has spikes that go into the pot rather than a scrog net being fixed in place. Therefore I can still move them and drain the run off.

Rabidreject Update - SATURDAY 13th March Ok this weeks been interesting. Shout out to Fast Buds as they agreed to sponsor me and send me some free seeds which is great because I’m just about to switch my setup so that the larger of the tents is in my room or use the wardobe again. I’m really annoyed I forgot to switch the humidifier from the big tent to the small one that actually needs it.

Rabidreject Update - tues 16th March Week has been good. I added a circle support to spread the plant out a little more In the last couple weeks. Think it will work well on the unknown auto

Rabidreject Update - Friday 19th March Went to see the grow today and it actually didn’t stink of skunk when I walked in and I hadn’t even fitted my CF. Just from location to others and doors and windows. Leavings a window open is a nice way to get a temp swing at night too. It’s looking good I just wish it would start filling out. I got scared off the synthetic nutes and because I’m using microbes and top dressing with worm castings. So I’m kinda finishing off this plant just by feeding it molasses and ecothrive and all the shit above. I ordered the general hydro cheap liquid paper ph test kit. Apparently it is pretty accurate. If I can get my dustbin filled with ph like 6 that’d be amazing. The unknown auto is starting to reveal its structure now. Way more pistols than the fastberry, that just started making purple buds, pronto! I also switched the ventilation because my 5” fan was in my tiny tent turned right down and the big tent was using the 4” at absolute max without a carbon filter and just scraping by. I also received my 5” carbon filter but to be honest until I can smell it outside my front door I don’t want to touch that evil fibreglass stuffed duckling. It made my hands well itchy. Still is as we speak but hey go I did it. Now i can run a CF and still have enough power to keep negative pressure. So iv actually done quite a lot today. I gave them a water and feed of that Organic shit I have as it was ok last time. I also gave it some power booster by RQS. Should be interesting to see how they react

Rabidreject Update - Mon 22nd March Flushing starts today for a week. I’m going to continue to add the microbes due to them being able to buffer ph and also breakdown the last of the nutes that are in there. I’m a little concerned they will take a shit load of flushing due to the top dress of worm castings I added recently. We’ll see.... more pics and stuff to come

Rabidreject UPDATE- Mon 22nd March Week has been fine. Flushing was commenced but I didn’t put enough water through. Just 5litres when it should have been 33 litres I think. I’m just going to do it until the water is clear next time. When I was getting the plant out one of the side branches with a pretty big bud at the top and a few up the sides got bent so I snapped it off and decided to try it a little early. Obviously it’s going to take a while to dry then cure but fuck it. UPDATE - Fri 26th March Weeks been good. Just been flushing like mad as it’s the only time iv ever grown with synthetics and it smells so lovely that I don’t want it to taste nasty ( even though I dry herb vape)

Rabidreject UPDATE - Monday 29th March Weeks gone nice and smooth tbh. With my GHE PH test kit I feel a lot safer and I can get my water to within a rough range of where it needs to be and let the microbes do the rest. Also it isn’t digital so it can’t fuck up! I probably will buy a blue labs pen eventually but I’m planning on a 1.2x1.2mx2m tent to fill up with autoflowers. I haven’t decided if I’m going to use hempy buckets or not yet but it’s going to take me more than a few runs to save up for all the gear, so until then i am going to flower out the main lined photoperiod (Barneys farm - Ayahuasca Purple) in my old grow closet. I have enough equipment to set it up with passive intake and the inline extractor fan is powerful enough and the space small enough to suck in quite a bit of air through some sort of cloth as a filter. I always used to overcrowd this cabinet massively so it’ll be really nice to throw the mainlined plant in there and get it flowered whilst I am starting my sponsored Fast Buds seeds. I never start my diaries until I see the first sign of the coyteline leaves ( I know that’s not the actual name for the them but I can’t remember it exactly and can’t be assed to look it up!) Iv just had so many failed germination that it’s a bit like when women are having a baby they don’t tell people until the first part is over in case they lose it! That’s how I feel ) With regards to this plant enjoy the photos. They aren’t as good as the last lot as I didn’t put as much effort in due to having to do more in the actual grow! I’m cutting her down soon. I need to look at the the I homes underneath the loupe. I thought I’d forgotten it but when I got home I hadn’t so took some x30 macro photos of the bud that got snapped off like a week ago. I just budded on a stupidly cheap light. One of those bar lights that has 4 spread out bars that have really thin quantum board strips. Or I thought it was a full light.....turned out I just bought the heat sink haha. Oh well, as we all know iv built lights in the past and I’m locked in now. It was £65. I don’t think that is bad for what it is. The problem is there aren’t that many quantum board strip circuit boards in the uk really yet or when they are either they are too weak, Emerson effect boards or SUPER expensive. I woke up this morning realising it’s just a normal heat sink so surely I could mount cobs to it. If I mounted lots of small wattage cobs spaced out at equal distances to make up the 400w it can take. I will probably wire it into two drivers. I dunno, just an idea. I found some 65w strips that I could then add some cheap 25w cobs to I guess. I dunno. At least I bought that decent soldering iron! I knew it would come in useful! I got there in the end with my citizen clu-048 grow light and that is 100w so I’ll think of it as doing 4 of them but cheaper lol I really could talk to myself all day about growing on here. Also they should have a ‘flushing’ button above where they have all the growing techniques your using that week. Everyone does it so why not have it there for people to just hit. Also above iv said I water 1.25 a day but realistically I water double that every other day. Sometimes every 3 days and shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit if I’m growing in traditional soil it can be weeks before it fully dries out if your using a 10 gallon or something

Rabidreject UPDATE - Tuesday 30th March This week has flown by and when I first had a peep at the fastberry it had faded out quite a bit so I took a look at the trichomes on the calyx’s and there were some amber ones. Mainly cloudy and we very clear so I decided it was time to chop her. I actually managed to take a wet weight this time, not that it will really mean anything at this stage, it’s all stem tbh. Iv removed all the fan leaves and cut it I to two and hung it on a coatrack in my usual space. You’ll see..

Rabidreject UPDATE - TUESDAY 13th APRIL As soon as I open my jar now it stinks of summer fruits berry like skunk. It smells like it looks like it should. Not a massive harvest by any means but I’m learning all the time. Another to chop down a few weeks after so that unknown auto (what I believe to be RQS Northern Lights Auto) that is rather large I’m very much looking forward to. This strain surprised me at how purple it was when it started flowering and then it started going a bit more multi coloured when maturing. I would love to grow this strain again once iv been through their entire catologue tbh. Also I’m 90% certain this is the diary that got me sponsored by fast buds so expect to see some more diaries popping up soon! I’m super happy with the flavour and density of buds considering I didn’t realise it was a three part nutrient program the whole time! Just used micro and grow or micro and bloom! It smells better than it tastes atm, however, it is obviously still curing. I’m waiting for the weight of the annonymous plant. Am going to probably start a diary just noting the harvest Of that one coz there are some fat buds and it’s not even finished! It had the wrong nutes again until the last like month of its life so
