Germination
Currently germinating 2 seeds in a paper towel, under a bowl. Once germinated, I'll place damp coco/perlite on the bottom of two 2-gallon fabric pots, then fill to the top with dry coco/perlite. I'll then bury Solo cups with the bottoms cut off in the pots and place the seedlings knuckle deep in the center of those. I'll only water inside the Solo cup for about 2 weeks, then I'll place the pots outside. When the plant has 2 sets of leaves I plan on introducing Prescription Blend Nutrients and Recharge. Nothing else aside from pH, and Neem Oil/Diatom Earth if necessary later on. I'll feed with every watering following Prescription Blend's chart. The fabric pots will sit on my balcony, which faces SW and will get plenty of sun. In a legal state so not sure if I should be worried about hiding the plants. My balcony is 3 stories up. Feel free to comment with tips/suggestions as they will be appreciated. This is my first grow in years lol. Update: Both seeds germinated successfully and planted as per above.

Germination went smooth, will introduce nutrients once the second set of fan leaves show up. My cat pulled out one of my seedlings and I tried to replant it but doesn't look like it will take. I have another seed germinating to get back to having two growing at a time. Started feeding on Day 12. There should be a "Seedling" week lol I plan on keeping it in Week 1 until it develops 4 sets of leaves, then introduce LST. Should I also remove the Solo cup at this time? Update 2/28: cat ate the little seedling completely and the largest, healthiest leaf on the older seedling. I'm quite furious. Now I have 2 plants that are 20 days apart in growth. I guess I'll keep updating this diary with the older plant. Update 3/7: Introduced LST yesterday. Looking good. Question now is when to switch to Week 1 Veg status/food. Update 3/8: Switched to Week 1 Veg strength and decided to fill the pot with coco/perlite and leave the half-solo cup in there so as to not disturb the roots. I've decided to leave the cup in since it seems that has the least chance of negatively affecting the roots & this plant has already been under enough stress. I'll remove the cup for this other seedling when it gets a couple nodes.

Should I remove the half-solo cup from the pot or leave it? I don't want to hurt any root growth. I plan on topping off the pot with more coco/perlite this week. I used this technique to avoid transplanting.

It's an autoflower, trust they're all I grow this will more than likely stress the plant out if you remove it, autos are super sensitive that's the reason they tell you to plant them in their final pot so you don't cause any stress while transplanting.

Second Week of Veg Feeding at this strength. Week 1 on here shows seedling strength feeding. Cat attacked the plant again while I was mixing nutrients a couple days ago. I had it sitting on a rickety glass table that the cat is usually terrified of, but she's literally an entirely different animal when it comes to destroying my plants. I sincerely don't know if I love her anymore lol I definitely don't see her the same way before she decided to become an evil, murderous, destructive force. All-in-all about 15 leaf blades eaten, including about 3 full sets of leaves. I'm genuinely impressed at how the plant keeps bouncing back. It's been viciously attacked 5+ times, 3 other plants didn't make it, another one is still a fresh seedling. I've decided to leave the cup in since it seems that has the least chance of negatively affecting the roots & this plant has already been under enough stress. I'll remove the cup for this other seedling when it gets a couple nodes.

Getting full sun all day now and being brought in at night. Once I can get/build a small protective fence or something (to keep the cat away) I'll leave the plant outside permanently. Currently sitting outside in a box with the flaps out so the cat can't see, on a table. First three pics are without feeding at this strength. Coco is too damp still, maybe she'll be thirsty tomorrow. I always measure just under the recommended dosage, PB warned me about going from Week 2 to 3 so I may feed at like 70% of this strength. The Recharge is a once/week dose btw. She's doing some weird things to fight the LST but still staying low so I don't really mind lol. Added some fencing to keep the cat away, it's worked so far and I'm able to leave the plants outside permanently.

She's been preflowering for a few days, I introduced some Prescription Blend Big Data, which is their Bloom nutrient. I'll go full strength flowering next week (though I always measure everything just under, even at "full"). Flowering might be only 4-5 weeks instead of 8 on their feeding chart. Noticed some white stuff on the underside of one of the leaves..not sure what it is. I don't think it's eggs and there hasn't been a change since I noticed it. Some tears/holes in the bigger leaves but I don't think that's due to any pests. I think it's the wind. I've seen one small fly though, killed it and haven't seen another. Kinda hard to LST some of the side branches growing outside of the pot, but the idea was just to keep the plant small so it's all good.

Entering Flowering Week 1, everything remains the same strength as last couple weeks but will be increasing/adjusting Big Data, PB's Bloom nutrient, going forward. Lower fan leaves looking yellow and ugly - as expected. Still trying to keep it low with LST. Buds are filling out, colas still seem to be growing vertical as I tie them down. Some colas/branches are not as "developed" as what's in the pictures.

Day 61. Buds are really bulking up now 9-10 week strain but there were some setbacks/cat attacks Week 1 Veg where the plant had to spend extra time recovering. Spent 3 weeks in Week 1 Veg(so she's almost 9 weeks from seed). Probably could have skipped Week 4 Veg, but I introduced 2mg/gal of Bloom nutes during that week. I'm anticipating 2 more weeks of Fruiting after this week before harvest. Appears to be at mid-flower already. Thoughts?

Day 68. Buds continuing to fill out. Hairs starting to turn orange. Smelling pretty musky. Drinking a lot more now, pretty much a half-gallon every 3rd day. Leaves are curling a little due to the heat. It's a 90 degree day. More of these are coming, I'm not too worried about this plant but may look for more temperature-resistant strains going forward. 90 degree days, to 50 degree nights?? It's wild lol.

Day 82. Sprayed Monterey BT as a precaution, I'll keep that up weekly or so. I've sprayed neem oil a handful of times over the grow. No pest issues aside from the cat.The bigger the plant gets the harder it is to keep it in this cage so the cat has taken more chunks out of it...including one of the budsites. Lost my TDS meter the last couple months but got it back. Probably gonna go thru and cut the really yellow leaves. I need more bulk on the buds!!

82 days from seed. Outdoor autoflower in coco. Wondering about how much time to harvest am I looking at, and if the buds should fatten up by then? Using Prescription Blend Nutrients, only 3 weeks left on their feeding chart.

Well never go off a chart. Potassium is number 1 for plant at this stage. If in coco maintaining the ph in coco is very important as well. Outdoors growing does not provide as much light hours as indoor under controlled area. Plants tend to get more flower indoor then out. Hope this helps and good luck with the grow and harvest 👍

I'd say it needs some PK (Potassium + Phosphorus) two most important elements in late flower. Good luck!

Hi! The first problem in a balcony grow in my experience is always a little street light or some neighbours night lamp one doesnt account for, just the right amount to give your plants enough stress and buds will seem loose and not fatting. No sign of any burn or defiiciency so my money is on the light. Hope this helps.

Day 107?? Pretty sure my struggles are due to too much N or or too much light at night, which I can't control. Going to lower the N nutes. Is it worth a flush? How much time do I even have left? Cut about half a dozen leaves with aphids off. Also noticing weird hard things growing from the buds. Looks like cat claws tbh.
