Her first week has been great. Growth is solid with her unfurling her first set of leaves after the cotyledons. I watered the soil once with nutrients to develop bacteria in the soil and some silica to help with nutrient uptake. Once the soil dries out I'll give her the first official feeding.
I was dissapointed in this weeks growth but that's just the hand you're dealt sometimes. The cold weather did a number for sure. Outside of dropping the temperatures very low, fickle power kept causing flickers and turned my heater off further reducing tent temperature. The cold weather caused the soil to stay moist longer than normal causing me to develope a bit of algae on top. Once it dries out a bit more im going to scoop the algae out and add more soil to the top layer then give it another light feed adding cal mag, super blend tea and flora micro.
This week was very productive for her. Lots of new growth allowing me to increase her feed. This week has been a lot of catch up so no topping this week but likely in the middle of the week then LST shortly after. Another week or two then she'll start flower.
Her vigorous growth continues! I topped her Wednesday and by Saturday the tops were really taking off. I'll give them a few more days of growth and I'll remove the original fan leafs on the undersides to make room for low stress training and the new fan leafs growth.
This week has been mostly adjusting lst stakes and clipping off leaves and secondary branches as necessary. Guiding everything into the cross shape helps me attempt to maximize its canopies effectiveness while trimming secondary branches helps to keep from having a bunch of thin fragile branches and attempt to maximize the canopies effectiveness. I gave a water only feed but used mychorrazae and silica thinking it would help use up any buildup in the soil. Once the soil dries out again I'll start feeding pre flower nutrients as I'll be flipping before too long.
