So we’re at the end of week 1 and all is good. Germed this bean Thursday 5th of April and she popped her head up Sunday the 8th.
Just watering her with a Rhizotonic mix and misting her before lights out. Will introduce 1/4 strength nutes around 10 days old using the Lucas/Heard method with GH Flora Micro, Flora Bloom and Calmag.
She is in a solo cup filled with a 70/30 coco coir and perlite mix. I will put her into a 3 gallon smart pot at 10 days. She is in a Grow tent with 2x Mars 300W led’s, 6”inlet fan, exhaust fan, 2 clip on fans and a monkey oscillating fan.
She’s on a 18/6 light schedule and I always water before lights out and mist. Looking forward to seeing this lady grow 😍

The seedling stage seems to drag by with no real apparent change above ground. However I know this is because the magic is happening underneath the ground 😊

So this lil lady is doing great, she’s loving her new smart pot and drinking every day.
Feeding her 1/2 strength nutes using Lucas/Heard formula and she seems to be loving it. Alternating each feed with Rhizotonic water and spraying with a Rhizo foiliar spray before lights out.
If I’m brave enough I may start practicing some lst on her but we’ll see how she goes 😀

So we’re at the end of week 4 and all is good with this lil girl. I think she may have been stunted a bit with high ppm’s whilst I was away, but she’s looking good, no burnt tips and she’s shooting out new growth.
Slowly upping the ppm’s and giving rhizo water in between feeds. Have been spraying with rhizo foilar water but will stop now as she has got loads of white hairs.

Had a moment of bravery and tried some LST for the first time. It’s gunna go one way or the other and I figure that I’m not gunna learn unless I try!
She seems to be taking it fine but she’s looking real bushy at the mo so I’m keeping my fingers crossed

End of week 8 and we’re slowly getting there! Was worried that I fucked this one up with my first time lst attempt but she seems to be doing something.
She’s covered in white hairs everywhere but bushy as well so I will pull some leaves in the next few days and see what’s going on underneath.
Really hope I haven’t screwed up my perpetual auto garden

She is making bud but she is also very leafy. Defoliating leaves that block light getting to the bud sites.

She keeps popping out more white hairs will lower the ppm’s ready for flush.

So it’s the end of the journey and this weird lil lady gave me 17 gr of really nice smoke. The buds when dried went quite fluffy and airy but smell real good.
Gutted that I stunted this lady but enjoyed watching her weirdness and learning from my mistakes hopefully 🏻
Will deffo attempt another GG grow in the future. Nice relaxing and chillin out smoke.

Started one of these awhile back and was unable to finish the grow. However, by the end of the 3rd week she showed hairs..... By the end of the 4th week they were EVERYWHERE! 23&3/4in. in height. Currently have 2 Pineapple Express (FastBuds) in queue, Diary will be up when the grow finished though.
@Kirr38,WOW sounds good to me, have read great things about this strain so fingers crossed I’ll do it justice!
I’m growing a FastBuds Pineapple Express at the moment. She’s gunna take quite a bit longer to finish but that is my fault as I think I may have made a few newbie mistakes. She is flourishing though and I’m enjoying growing her.
I have 2 more Pineapple Express beans left so hopefully the next ones will be better. Good luck with your girls

Personally I would attribute the rhizo; it's really good for vigorous rooting. Once they've established roots, they start really taking off.

How many weeks does this strain take to finish? I have never run auto’s before as I usually start with photo period femanized seeds and then if I like the strain I will Monster Crop (taking clones from plants 3-4 weeks into flower) for the propagation of the next round. The resulting clones grow into bushy monsters without much training at all hence the term Monster Cropping. Looking good so far!!! Keep up the good work.
@SativaShell, I do a lot, and I mean a lot of reading. I grew my 1st plant in 1997, but then never touched a cannabis plant again for 18 years until I had a major spinal surgery which prompted me to start reading so I could grow my own. I like the idea of the auto seeds, but due to regulations on plant counts where I live I choose the photo period because I can structure my plant a little more in Veg to get the size I need without stunting them as you had mentioned...
@MagicMikesMeds, FastBuds say 8-10 weeks from germination but this is depedent on the growers skill, optimum conditions and nute schedule. I am a newbie grower and unfortunately stunted this lil girl. Sounds like you know what your doing 👍🏻
Watering you girls at lights on, instead of before lights out, help with humidity control and bud rot. Keep this in mind, If you run into these issues.
@Kirr38,I did run into a humidity and low temps issue a couple of weeks ago. I got me a 2L dehumidifier, greenhouse heater tube with built in thermostat and an oscillating monkey fan. Things have improved and I’ve managed to keep humidity to roughly 50/55 and temps at 25. Will keep an eye out for the dreaded bud rot though 👍🏻Thanks for the advice it’s greatly appreciated by this newbie
Make sure to water the baby in a 3" circle around the root ball, lightly, to induce the roots to grow further out.
