All 4 plants still looking ok more lst to help airflow to the lower parts of the plant and expose the lower buds sites. Upped the feed a bit and they seemed to take it ok. Lollipopped some of the lower parts of the plants to help drive growth upwards. I broke a large stem at the knuckle from over handling them and not allowing enough slack with the lst wire π€¦ββοΈπ» . Repaired it as best I could and it seems to be healing fast. Lesson learnt.. some deficiencyβs showing on the lower larger fan leafs not sure the reason for this but itβs not showing on all on them thankfully.
@Dingle, yeah man. Especially as a new grower. I probably should have started with soil if I'm honest. This first grow is going to be poor, but hopefully I will have learned enough for my next to be a good one!
Nice man! It will be less work, hopefully more yield as well! I wish I started with photos as I could have kept her out of flower and got some more veg time!
I bet you're looking forward to that smoke!
@BlueDreamer1, thank you! yea I can imagine it gets real tricky trying to pin point what the issues are when ever they pop up. I am thinking of trying auto seeds for the next run and maybe just 2 plants this time. I have some northern lights auto seeds so I might get them going as soon as these ladies are dried.
@Dingle, I hope soo! It's so difficult to figure out what's going on. I think it's been a multitude of issues if I'm honest. All due to me obviously!
Mate you've honestly done amazing.. if mine turn out half that I'd be happy! You'll know for next time! Are you starting another right away?
Very similar to what I'm attempting as my first grow, except, I'm trying for just one plant.
Are the green sticks something you're using for your LST to tie off to? Can you show a picture of that?
Also, when you top and defoliate, are you just plucking with your fingers or using scissors?
Looks good. Going to follow this grow!
@Dingle,Thanks for the info. Def going to hop on amazon and get some sticks for a similar technique. So lst at first, then followed by dingle sticks? lol. Doing this. Thanks!
Hi @Cooklung, I just use the sticks to help open up the canopy where possible, I donβt use any ties I just place the sticks in between some of the stems to help provide some separation from each other. I was using wire initially to lst the branches outwards towards the rim of the pots which worked great. I use scissors to do any defoliation as am I new to this myself so I wanted to use scissors in case I cause any damage stripping leafs off by hand. Good luck with your first grow! Thanks for the follow π
