All 3 seeds germinated perfectly. Popped them in the soil after about a day in a glass of water and close to 2 in paper towel.
All 3 popped out of the soil about 2 days later. A couple of days after that 2/3 seedlings mostly stopped growing. They showed signs of being very unhealthy and I’m still working to bring them back, but they might be gone. My gut feeling is the tender roots contacted one of the 5-3-2 chicken poo pellets I amended my soil with. Won’t be doing that again.
Nothing much to report. The 2 that stopped growing are still not really growing. Looking dim for 1 of them. The one in the picture is in great health though!

Plant size really started to accelerate this week.
Watering every 2 or 3 days. No runoff. Waiting for soil to dry out between feedings.
Added a heavy layer of diatomaceous earth to deal with any future fungus gnat issues. Did not realize how the DE would affect the consistency of the soil after watering. Also you’re not supposed to really get the DE wet so I’m not sure how people use this successfully for an extended period of time. Either way, haven’t seen a bug in a while so all good. If I have issues in the future I’ll probably try neem oil.
Lots to report.
Growth absolutely took off. First white pistils started to show, now at the end of the week you can see the very first showing of buds. Did first LST around day 25 and again the next day. Each time the plant was fully recovered within a couple hours. I have a feeling I’ll likely be tying a part of the plant down every few days or so from now on.
Also top dressed the soil with Gaia green main 4-4-4 fertilizer and power bloom. Worked it into the soil which allowed me to break up the DE which had been clumping up the top soil. We’ll see how it goes
I added a new autoflower, a magnum auto seedling that popped out of the soil a week or so ago and along with it, some fresh fungus gnats. But considering I got the first gnat issue when I started this grow under control with minimal effort I’m not too worried. Between the DE and increased sticky traps right on the soil they’re almost gone.
