I accidentally turned on the air flow so the air humadity was super low 40% so i turned it off when i realized that it aint helping and bring bowl of hot water inside the tent and then the air humadity turned up 60% wich probably should be enough. its my first time growing something intent and weed in general so next time i know what to do :D
As you can clearly see this one is a bit struggling due to my lack of knowledge i used big 12,5L pots straight away so another misstake so next time i know, also i bought some nutrients but i fucked it up by using only power roots
i should have used at this point also Plagron grow boost wich by the manual of the nutrient should be used all time during vegetative stage. So another mark for my next grow atleast im gaining some experiences for my next time growing
so since i started using terra grow plants when all out, also my mother went to buy some salad just to have fast start in my tent i will move her flowers and salad away probably next week :D
everything is going well so far. yeah and im watering the plants when they need it so its a bit harder to messure since they are growing fast and each day want more water :D
just a note: i will be using LST combined with topping and also scrog also later in blooming stage i will use Plagron bloom and finish the grow with defoliation of bottom leaves and ofc flush oh and also im using for all watering tap water with plagron PH - Lemon Kick
so the other day i found i out i wasnt giving them nutrients i was giving them 0,15ml/L not 1.5ml/L simply messed up because i was on discord during that water making process :D totaly stupid fault but as i keep sayin' myself each fault is also a gift.
Also i found out that pots aint full enough even though i used 12,5 pots and 25L of soil again i messed up with putting together those pots one is upside down as you may see (hint: with the bigger one).
and finnaly i dont know if i should or shouldnt start topping on the bigger one. i thinking about a week to start topping the big one just to be fully confident.
Everything goes well so far no issues other than im not sure if i lst the plant right im bending the plant with garden wire each time it grows a bit up, oh and i finnaly turned on air filtration because the air humidity is finnaly on high levels without bowls of warm water and other i had issues with low air humidity with air filtration on now its good sitting around 50% while on and without over 70%
Nothing interesting this week sorry for no update only thing is that i increased dose of terra grow from 2.5 ml on liter to full on 5ml on liter of water
So after a week i boosted the nutritions the plants started to grow super fast i continue topping and LST all the time plants are in very good shape even though of all misstakes i made
so ive stopped managing LST on 4.4. (day 67) and now im letting the plant to grow up the plants are doing so well infact i was worried about grow space i think i learn so much i cant wait for my next grow and ofc to harvest these and enjoy them with some friends
So i made my own ScrOG i see this as great success since this is my first time growing, and so far everything is doing great i added some more medium to the flowers and switched the sides of the pot due to my lack of knowledge i didnt notice it was build wrong all the time so i fix it also i did defoliation on my beauties so now they are a bit stunned in their grow im planning to let them grow for another two or three weeks and then im gonna start the blooming from 18/6 to 12/12
So first week of flowering stage nothing major i switched nutrients still waiting for those first buds to appear, each flower gets 2L of water once a two days
So i bought a new a lamp from aliexpress, its much better than a the old one, more LED lights and overall its more bright in the tent its so much better, i'm sorry for not posting at all i was busy i found a new job and really didn't have time for the diary.
One Major thing happend wich fucked my buds formation and overall grow, tempatures in my city rised to 37 degres so the soil was pumping more nitrogen than usuall and i didnt noticed in till was late i noticed in after few weeks leaves turned dark greeen but the tips of the leave were in normal shape and then they started to pulling down a bit, so when i found out i immediately started with flushing with pure water, each of the flower drinks 2Liters of water per day due to warm i had tempature 28 in the tent and i dont know what was tempature of the soil but it was hot for sure.
I dont have photos of the later weeks due the fact i was buy and also nothing happend beside of the curing of the damage. Also i fucked up with the defoliation in middle and overall on the plants i haven't defoliate enough, so there is another reason to why the buds are so small...
At this week i think around 28.6.2021 i started with the pure water this was the week i noticed that nitrogen overflow, and also i took a look on middle part of the plant and found alot of dry leaves due to not enought light.....
Hey fellow growers, im a newbie in hemp growing not growing as whole, my question is i have lot of dry leaves in middle part of the plants and i'm note sure if i should get rid of them or let them there because i dont want to hinder even more the plants i fucked up hard with defo
I've small buds due to not enough defoliation and nitrogen overflow due hot weather. This week the buds started finally getting bigger but i was already thinking about harvesting this week and from day or two the buds got noticible bigger for me, should i harvest or wait ?
Defoliation does not cause bigger buds.
Defoliation (can) cause smaller buds.
During flowering, your plant needs a lot of energy to grow the flowers. Your plants only source of energy is the leaves. More leaves = more energy made = more and faster and larger growth.
Hot weather has no effect on nitrogen levels. Nitrogen is a fixed element, it does not change its properties due to weather, be it hot or cold.
Small buds are usually the result of low light intensity or too small pots or genetics or poor growing conditions or a combination of all four.
In all honesty, a 150watt LED is not going to give you the huge blooms you are looking for.
However, your flowers are still quite a way off maturity, so will still grow a bit bigger. Look to harvest when there are about 95% brown pistils, but don't stop feeding too early, once the pistils are about 90% brown go to giving just plain water for 7-10 days by which time the pistils will be 95% brown and your plants will be ready for harvesting and careful drying. No need to get hung up on results, being your first grow, think about all the things you have learned and how you will be able to apply this new knowledge to your next grows. I have been growing for 35+ years, still make mistakes (but not many!) and still learn something with each and every grow.
