Sun Feb 7: Planted seeds in Jiffy Pellets soaked with distilled water. RQS Special Queen #1, Canuk White Rhino, Blueberry, and Blue Dream (all fem), plus a random Blueberry seed (not feminized). All 5 seeds sprouted between Wed Feb 10 and Fri Feb 12. Blueberry seedling had to be re-planted in a different jiffy pellet b/c it grew upside down with a helmet head (in retrospect I should've just put it into the soil). Sat Feb 13: Removed mesh netting from jiffy pellets and planted seedlings in starter pots with Promix BX (pre-saturated two days before with distilled water). Pellets had become hard and dry at the bottom so sprayed them with water before planting. Started seedlings on 14/10 light schedule under 600w LED; will increase light in 15 min intervals to 15/9 by the end of May to match natural daylight hours before moving plants outdoors.

Tues Feb 16th: Haven't needed to water seedlings since planting; soil is still moist but not too wet. Some stretching in White Rhino, Special Queen, and Blueberry (non-fem) seedlings, most likely b/c they were left on heat mat too long (light is a good distance and stretching seems to have stopped after taking the seedlings off the mat). Using fan to strengthen stems - probably won't be re-planting them deeper until it's time to move to bigger pots since the stretch isn't too bad. Finally removed helmet head seed from Blueberry (fem) seedling, but one cotyledon is still small and pale, and overall growth is slower than the other seedlings.

Wed Feb 24: Stretching stopped and second true set of leaves are starting to grow. Still haven't needed to water seedlings since potting them aside from occasional misting, still misting with distilled water. White Rhino has been looking slightly overwatered (cotyledons are more droopy than on the other plants). Blueberry (fem) hasn't grown at all-still has a hard texture (part of seed?) on upper part of the stem and one cotyledon is small and pale, but doesn't seem to be getting worse either. Will post pics next week. Should be interesting to see how the plant turns out if it survives.

Sun Feb 28: Growing pretty slowly - possibly under-watered, or just slower than other grows b/c of the more natural light cycle (trying so sync up with natural Ontario light cycle by late May when they'll go outside), or they're ready for some nutrients. Leaves on all but the blueberry (non fem) are a little warped, I'm assuming it's from lack of humidity, fan too close, or watering with spray bottle under light (even though I try to avoid the leaves when watering). Got a humidifier running now and left the fan off for a few days. Had to pack some extra promix around the blueberry (non fem) seedling b/c it was starting to fall over from the stretching. Sprayed extra water (tap water w/ 2ml/l of calmag) before lights out, about 2oz per plant. Mon Mar 1: Increased light to 14h 15 mins for the Month of March (light schedule entry on GrowDiaries only goes up in hourly increments). Seedlings seemed to like the extra water and calmag (had only been lightly spraying topsoil last week) and had a small growth spurt. Tues Mar 2-Wed Mar 3: Continued to spray topsoil with tap water when it dried out, usually once a day; growth seems to be slow. Maybe still under-watering? Topsoil seems to be drying out fast. Thurs Mar 4: Decided to do first nutrient feedling with 2ml/l calmag, 1ml micro, 1.5ml grow, 0.5ml bloom, 0.5ml golden tree at 6.25pH and 596ppm, watering more than usual with measuring cup instead of spray bottle - might be a little early but since they are in promix (low nutes), growing slowly, and drying out so fast I think it's time. Packed some extra soil around special queen #1 seedling b/c it was starting to fall from stretching as well. Blueberry (fem) seedling: This seedling is so weird. It still looks the same as it did when it sprouted and the hard shell part is still stuck to the side no matter what I do to dissolve it. It's not dying, but not growing at all. I don't have high hopes for it but am keeping it for now just to see what happens.

Tues Mar 9: Growth really picked up after first dose of nutrients last week, but the soil is taking a long time to dry out so I haven't watered them since. Hopefully they will dry out soon so I don't end up with nutrient build up. Fri Mar 12: Even more growth, but still slower than where they should be at this age. Have only had to water the blueberry (non-fem) plant. White rhino is growing in a little mutated so I will keep an eye on that one.

Mon Mar 15: Looks like I overdid that first dose of nutrients in week 3 and a probable calmag deficiency; soil is taking a long time to dry out on all plants except for Blueberry but I flushed with distilled water anyway. Foliar fed calmag and golden tree before lights out. Tues Mar 16: Plants are looking better after flush and calmag. Foliar fed calmag and golden tree again before lights out. Wed Mar 17: Plants are still growing slower than I'd hoped. Once they dry out I will flush again and then get back to regular nutrient feedlings.
