Starting first attempt at an all organic grow. I have started with a base medium of 50 liters (~13 gal) of 70/30 coco to perlite and added the following: 27 tbsp of 4-4-4 all purpose 12 tbsp of 2-8-4 flower bloom 3 cups of worm castings 3 tbsp of ground oyster shell I hand mixed all parts together and decided this time if I’m trying all organic, I’ll try direct sow as well. I am very excited and can’t wait to see how well this works...and yes I am inspired by a certain you tuber and want to see if I can recreate effects. This should be interesting to say the least! MID WEEK UPDATE: 2/20 - all 5 seeds sprouted, medium kept moist, seedling tray covers remained in place 2/21 - both dark devils, the lemon auto, and only one of the skywalker OG continue to open up and shed the seed husk. The other Skywalker OG has produced a small tap root but has ceased to grow. 2/23 - I removed the one bum Skywalker OG, it did not continue to sprout and has started to shrivel up. 4 out of 5 isn’t bad, but I was hoping they’d all survive. This is the first time using a new method, and first time a seed did not pop for me...I kinda feel sad about it.

Will the trichs change to amber on this strain? I am a few days past the breeder harvest date, but there are no ambers and more clear ones than I’d expect at this point. I certainly have had plants go for longer or shorter than recommended, but based on trichs I am getting mixed messages. These girls are looking like they are on their last leg and borrowed time. Any advice or pointers for this strain? Thanks!!

It is always great to see an organic grow. The will to do one is more than enough reason. Regarding the small buds issue, happened to me aswell in my first endevours and it turned out to be excess nitrogen during flowering stage. The source most probably the compost tea. And/Or not enough pottasium. So yeah it´s a lot of tweeking required, but the journey should be nothing else than amaizing. The dance of elements, microbes, paramecium, enzymes, mycorize (by the way consider them next time, they´re great) is something to be a part of. Thumbs up and play!

That’s an interesting point you bring up about N. I have been adding worm castings to every tea...plus the little bit from other elements added (kelp, alfalfa, non meal, etc.). That could be it. I also have not added any myco. I have some RAW in my arsenel(N, P, K, and Ca/Mg) and even though it’s not organic it is each element in its pure and soluble form. I plan on using micro amounts so I can selectively add individual elements as needed. All good points, appreciate the feedback. Best of luck with your ladies...looking good in flower!
