The cuttings were from a friend of a friend, delivered with the stems in folded paper towels soak in water and placed in a gallon sized zip lock bag. Lasted a few days at room temp. Cuttings were deep bright green with young, healthy stems and clean sharp cuts on a 45 degree angle. They were immediately placed in room temp h20 with a splash of h202 and put under a 30 watt led shop light directly over head for 48 hours.
Each clone was then roved from the water, generously dipped into rooting hormone powder, and planted directly into 80% FFHF and 20% perlite. Watered with mist bottle until substrate was soaked all the way. Careful not to wash off all of the rooting hormone.
The solo cups were all prepared by cutting off the bottoms of the cups and placing them onto an perforated aluminum tray inside of a second tray. I placed the bottoms of the cups that I cut off between the trays to create space (create space... am I God???). Then I filled the bottom 1/2" of the solo cups with pure perlite, which when wet will lock the cups into place. Then I filled loosely with premixed perlite and FFHF. Still mostly dry. I only used enough water help the perlite hold down the cups.
Using my finger, I made a divot in each cup to place each of the cuttings. As I gently inserted the stem into the hole, I carefully packed in the soil around it just enough to hold it upright. I used a spray bottle to water each one slowly title saturated- once daily. On day two I started using FF Nutrients as listed each week.
I put the two trays into a large clear storage bin to act as a humidity dome. It had a big crack in the top to let some air in and out. It worked very well. I opened it and let it breathe once or twice a day each time until the sides cleared from the condensation. They loved that box and the lights in the tent. it was about 85% and 85 degrees.
Out of 16 total clippings, 9 have made it to this week. Four White Wedding and five MAC 1 clones are all rooted and preparing to go full-on veggie mode.
Two winners in the White Wedding camp are already in full veg. A good bunch of the rest are ready to go in a few days, and a third group is bringing up the rear.
All of the MAC 1's seem to be a bit sluggish so far... Everybody responds quick and strong to LST.
Lights are all less than 50% at 36". Th e MAC side is even lower. Trying to let them catch up...
Culling the pack allowed me to condense them all back under a single fixture and the weather is perfect to easily maintain between 70F and 80F and 40%-50% rh during the photo hours. At night it gets around 65F. The white wedding has an astonishing rapid, stocky build. The MAC 1 seems maybe a bit more stretchy... 😬
Up pot everyone from 2 gallon fabric pots to 5 gallon pots except for one of each of a MAC1 and a White Wedding- I put the biggest growers from each cultivar from 2 gallon pots to 10 gallons and they will finish there. We see if more frequent up potting will benefit the others or not. They will get into 10 gallon pots in a few weeks or so... about when the roots start poking through, I suppose... =-)
Fuck. I missed...
Twisty twist.
Bendy bend.
Misty mist.
Over and over
till they rise
to the skies
made of LED eyes.
Spin the pot but always not
more than a quarter turn a day.
Except in May. Then, more's ok.
Then in June we can dry it
so that in July we can try it
And take all your cares away...
Or so they say.
THAT'S Science, Bitches!!
Science, bitches, indeed.
Peace.
The fuck-I-missed hit the spot
The fuck-I-missed hit the spot
some bending, some twisting
and tying them down
A day or two later
the ladies came around
heads up high
new vegetation
my heart is racing
The terps I'm tasting
Mean and green and full of steam
a few more weeks till they turn thirteen
Then it's lights out
nine to eleven weeks
Then cut and dry
then cure four weeks
The fuck-I-missed hit the spot
The fuck-I-missed hit the spot
No time for topping
or super cropping
No defoliate lopping
but sure as shit
don't you forget
I'm definitely lollipopping
Transplanting the white wedding threw it into overdrive right away. The MAC1 took a bit but all are really thriving and ready to flower very soon... just a little more roots...
The MAC1 clones from ETHOS Genetics are pretty slow growers and the new growth stays very nimble and easily limp. They respond well to LST but not exactly with any vigor but they do get stronger. This let's you craft some pretty twisted growth. BONSAI!!!? 8/
The White Wedding from ETHOS is still pretty active and responds with a rapid and strong uprighting after LST. Easily massages into a HST position, too. These guys seem very hungry.
Both of these cloned cultivars have also given some healthy new cuttings... waiting in the wings... stretching out and down into he soil... tik, tok...
"Woo, hoo!"--- ((_8'(0)
These ladies are so fricking packed
FFHF NUTE schedule for soil. Water ph adjusted tap in between.

Everything stretching tight.

White Wedding is ur ole as fuck.
The differences between the two are in the pics.
Night lighting schedule is so much easier at controlling heat and humidity.
It just six trying to hit that shit with water before I knock out.

The Mac stems are thin little straws and the buds are spending them to Earth.
I am constructing supports to keep the colas erect.
We aren’t even in home stretch yet.
I am nervous to see how fat these nuggies get.
Gonna need more string.
With the one I chopped early, I threw the trim in with last years APEX R1 harvest. Been frozen dry trim.
Also the Bruce Banner was in there…
Made some nice hash.
Holy cow. First time. Yes. Yes. Yes.
The one BBC MAC 1 that was chopped early was very impressive.
Fruity, lemony, citrus. Peppery. Very cerebral and euphoric. High energy.
Made some nice dry-sift with the fresh dried trim.
