Just finished up a very successful grow of Barney's Purple Punch Auto plants and will now be trying to do the same with these Fast Buds Sativa beauties. They both are in solo cups for a week or two to build up size and root mass before I transplant in bigger 11 litre fabric pots. I am using FF Ocean Floor (75%) with Perlite(25%), using this soil setup will take me 3 weeks plus without having to feed them any nutes. I also will be using TPS One again this time to see if the growing will be similar.
Day #5: The girls are growing nicely, OS#1 has a little mutant look but will probably grow out of it. They are getting only Silica Gold and Mycorrhizae in 6.5 PH water when their soil dries out.
Start of a new week of Veg and the girls are growing and they seem to be enjoying what nutes that is in the soil mixture. OS#2 came out with first true leaves that had 5 fingers, OS#1 had the usual 3 finger first leaves. All in all they are doing great.
Day 20 girls are just hanging out and growing each day. Even though they are the same strain in the same environment they look like 2 different strains of Sativa. Wonder if their final product will be different.
Week 3 of Veg is starting and the girls are really coming into their own. It looks like they each have different leaf structure but still have the short stocky leaves of the Sativa variety. OS#2 is producing 9 and couple of 11 finger leaves where OS#1 is putting on the regular 7 finger leaves. They are both roughly the same size and are taking in the same amount of feedings. Still no nutes in their feedings, they are working on what was in FF Ocean Forest. The Silica and Cal/Mag are making the stock and stems plenty strong and thick. Started LST on them, their fan leaves are so big it's hard to pull them aside. I'm very happy with them so far.
Day 25 and putting the girls through LST and some light defoliation. OS#1 is looking like she might start needing nutes. I'll start them on next feeding. Got couple of clones from trimming...never cloned an Auto, this should be interesting.
Week 4 and the girls are starting to come into their own. They both are showing lots of pistils and have several bud sites getting bigger. The LST I have been doing has them laying pretty flat and even, had to do some light defoliation of the giant fan leaves to open up some bud sites. This grow is going along pretty well without any major problems.👍😎
Day #32 Still doing LST and light defoliation. They don't look like they will need much more adjusting. The girls are taking their nute feedings quite fine. Now just waiting for the flowering to begin...
Day 34 Gave the girls their final trimming and trussed the branches to open them up for light to all of the bud sites.
It is an exciting time now in the grow.....The girls are starting to show off their pretty flowering pistils and looking good.
Day 38 The girls are just eating up a storm(almost 2 liters every other day) and enjoying their growth. I have 3 Sisters from a unknown strain (they look Sativa from the leaves) and one of them has some really cool coloration in it.
Start of the girls second week of flowering and they are looking as beautiful as ever. I can't give True Plant Science enough credit for their lineup of nutes and additives. I have had zero nutrient deficiencies since I have been using their products and my yields have gotten larger. 😎👌
Day 46 The girls are spreading out and totally filling up my 3x3 tent. They are in a feeding frenzy....feeding them almost 2 1/2 liters every other day. Their bud sites are filling in nicely and everything is going very smoothly. 👍
Day 50 as the 3rd week of flowering begins. I can see the trichomes beginning to start growing on the top sugar leaves around the bud sites. The girls are just filling up on nutes and enjoying their growth. The humidity has been wacky the past week so I had to do some more defoliation to open them up for air flow. I'm thinking maybe 4-5 more weeks for these beauties.
Day 53 and the girls buds are filling out nicely. More and more trichomes daily and they are now wanting to be fed almost everyday. The weather has been real nice and the girls have been spending most of their days outside in the sun and loving it. That is why I think they are needing more water. I know just 3 days in the natural sun they have seemed to have filled out even more. Gotta love the fat girls......😏
Day 55...The girls have a new home, just received my new 4x2x72 grow tent and now the girls have room to spread out. Also increasing the lights to a 250 watt LED full spectrum light. With all of this space now I may need to start a few more beans...LOL ;)
Day 58 the girls are in their 8th week and the smells are amazing. Their bud sites are really filling in and the trichomes are looking like sugar. I notice some light browning of the pistils and will start checking the trichome development probably next week. Had to do some more light defoliation to let air flow thru the center of the plants. Still zero deficiencies using True Plant Science products, which makes growing these girls a pure pleasure. 👍
Day 61 the girls have been in a feeding frenzy the past few days, I am going to start them on just PHed water today. Looks like they will be ready to harvest in a week or so. They smell amazing and I can't wait to try some of their sticky buds. Stay tuned the end is near.
Day 64 start of week 9 and the girls have been spending some time out in the natural sun. Trichombs are still 90% clear so it looks like they still have a little longer to enjoy life. I have noticed that they really smell strong after being out in the natural sun for a while. All in all they are doing great and I can't wait to see what the harvest will bring.👍
Day 70 and the ladies are fattening up every day. The pistils have finally started to darken and turn in. Still may let them go another week.... Their smell is so strong I can smell them over 50 metres away. The end is near so stay tuned.👏😵
My plants are at day 67 and the trichombs are almost totally cloudy(90%+/-) but the pistils haven't really darkened up or turned inward. Should I go by trichombs or pistils for harvesting?
let her grow longer, ...... you wiill be surprised how much she fattens up in 2 weeks time. cloudy trichomes are not the only sign and its way better to wait longer than cloudy
Week 10 - Day 71 of this grow and the girls are quickly approaching the end of their time. They have really bulked up this past week and everything is looking great. I would like to give Mrs_Larimar a big thank you for her expert advise to me about holding off with the harvest a little while longer. It does look like I will do the chop sometime this week. Can't wait to see the final outcome.😎👌
I grew one of these ladies for my first ever grow and was completely lost about nutes and supplements. So this time I really paid attention and WOW did these plants really show themselves to be monsters.👹 Using LST training and defoliation I had some of the biggest side branch colas I have ever seen. Couple of them were as big as my hand( and I have big hands). FastBuds Orange Sherbet Auto is a top shelf strain and the smells are out of this world. After wet trimming OS#1 I got 571 grams and OS#2 had 547 grams....My mind is blown with numbers like this from an Autoflower. Grow time was right at 73 days from popping the ground and it was a very problem free grow. I will post an update for final weight and smoke report after they dry and cure. Thank you FastBuds for great genetics and wonderful strains.
Update: Drying is complete and the final weights are: OS#1 - 110 grams of buds and 17 grams of trim. OS#2 - 99 grams of buds and 14 grams of trim. I am very happy with these numbers...almost a Quarter pound per plant. This was my best grow ever for final harvest weight. I'm still learning and maybe my next grow will be even bigger. Smoke report: I took a couple of the lower popcorn buds to try out and this FastBuds Orange Sherbet Auto does not disappoint!! Very smooth with no cure time and the citrus smells are great. 😎👌
Using True Plant Science One, Bloom and Signal this grow was pretty much problem free (other than the 2 girls out growing my 3x3 tent). FastBuds really hit it out of the park with this strain, Orange Sherbet Auto put out the tightest and biggest buds I have ever grown. The smell off of these girls was so strong at one point I could smell them from around 50 metres away. My harvest numbers really blew me away with over 1118 grams of wet trimmed buds from 2 plants. I never thought you could get this kind of harvest numbers from Autoflowers but FastBuds really showed why they are a top notch seed company. I am a big fan of their seeds and will be doing more of them in the future ( maybe some Forbidden Runtz Auto). After the final dry and cure I will update dry weigh and smoke report. Thank you FastBuds and grow on.😎👌
Update: Drying is complete and the final weight is....OS#1 110 grams of buds and 17 grams of trim/ OS#2 99 grams of buds and 14 grams of trim.
