Hey guys! I’m a newbie to the site & still quite green when it comes to growing. I’ve done a couple in the past but not seriously. This is my first ScroG. Just flipped to 12/12 today after 5 wks veg. Didn’t want to go any further as I’m limited for space & height 🤦🏻
Any advice or tips would be awesome 👌🏼👍🏼
Couple of weeks into grow now, ( apologies for grow light pictures, will remember lights off in future ) she's been filling out nicely. Decided to 'defoliate' having never tried it before, will check on her tomorrow. The RQS Genetics really seem to respond well to LST on this one 👍 Tied down one last time, will just let her grow now & defoliate again in around 3wks time. Lovely sweet aroma coming from the tent now.
Going into week 3 now with Flowering & I’m just buzzin at how well she is doing 🤩 Hope it carries on & can’t wait to see what she looks like in 5 wks time 😱😱🤞🏼
Not much to report on this week. She’s getting a bit more thirsty so upped the 4 litre to a 5 litre feed. On full nutes now & everything looks ‘A’ ok 👍🏼
So, I’m slightly concerned I may have overworked the LST, giving her 30 colas 😬 I hope I haven’t guaranteed myself popcorn & she starts filling out. I’m going to give mainlining a go next time & reduce the cola’s to 8 or 16. Fingers crossed this girl works out 🤞🏼
Hey guys, so I wanted to ask about leds. I’ve been growing my plant on full spectrum during flowering. I have about 3 - 4 was left. Would it be beneficial to switch the light to RED only. Would I see any advantage doing this. TIA ✌️🏼👍🏼👊🏼
Hey there Sticky Fingaz, just ask yourself this : "what color is the sun?" that's the best color for plants , i think the best bulb for that spectrum is Tungsten Metal Halide something like off white is what you should be going for. There's a reason all the LED companies' new lights are white with just a few red diodes. So to answer your question specifically : it wont do much , probably wont help at all , nothing you can really do towards the end of flower that really does a lot, your best bet is probably the opposite : reducing your light cycle the last week or 10 days , THC gets degraded by light, that's why folks try the dark period before the chop, but reducing your light cycle works better. I am totally loving this plant!! She's loving the conditions & doing really well. The smell Is sweet with a twang of citrus, just delightful. Only 25 more days of flower & then I will see where I am with regards to harvest, can't bloody wait!!
Just letting her crack on! Had to remove the ScroG net so I could rotate & get to the back for some defoliation. Last week of Big Bud & then onto Overdrive. Not going to get the beast cola's I was hoping for, Co2 production hasn't been great & I think I'll reduce the amount of cola's on the next one.
I just hope it tastes as good as it smell's. Sweet sweet sweet 😋😋
Last Nute feed today. Removed the Nitrogen based Nutes to give her one last push for the flower. Leaf tips have started turning yellow, pistils are changing & trichomes getting milky. Exciting times!!!

This Critical strain from @royalqueenseeds from has been a little blinder from the start. For someone who has come back to growing after quite a break, I found this plant to be relatively easy to grow. She responded well to all training, including LST & defoliating. I ended up with quite a few pop corn buds on this one, I believe I could have used the 'lollipop' method more to my advantage but hey, this was always a test grow for me so wasn't ever expecting much. But at the end of the day, the buds I have got are all top quality. The taste is amazing, very sweet and fruity. I would highly recommend this strain to anybody who wants a really nice fruity, head high smoke. I would certainly grow this one again!! Thanks very much Royal Queen Seeds.
So overall, this was a great grow for me all round. First time using LED'S & humidifiers & I really got into it. I loved the harvest, the flower quality was far superior to anything I've grown in the past. The genetics from RQS are always top quality & I'm so happy with result. plenty to keep me going until the next one.

@smoker420, Thank you kindly my friend 👍 At the moment I'm getting intense sweetness with a citrus undertone. I love sweet tasting weed, I used to smoke UK cheese all the time, but that's just got too much of an earthy taste for me now. My absolute favourite tasting strain right now must be 'ZkittleZ' for sure!

I tried the auto version of this one, a very nice strain we loved so much! Critical is one of my favourite since I started to smoke (and maybe one of the first tried also with amnesia 🙃)
@HirdoWeirdo, It's funny actually because I ordered Green gelato & the Critical was a freebie. I planted It not really expecting much as I was using new equipment so this was only supposed to be a tester! But I bloody love it lol I never anticipated it to do so well, hats off to RQS again. Never fail to satisfy! Amnesia Haze is one of my all time fave's, I still remember when I lived in Holland back in 2008, the coffee shops had warning posters up on the wall for amnesia haze lol Potent!! Strictly bed time smoke for me!!
