Welcome to my new diary! THis time we got more Meph beans, which I was jammy enough to pick up at the last store opening along with some Skywalker. I've never grown out Forum Stomper so looking forward to it. >> SEEDS << Mephisto Genetics - Forum Stomper From what I understand, Forum Stomper is Mephisto Genetics take on Girl Scout Cookies, a strain you can't really go wrong with in terms of smoke, so it'll be interesting to see if Mephs version is up to the hype. Here's the official blurb: "Forum Stomper will noticeably produce two main phenotypes. One is a slightly shorter stockier with a more typical shape of main cola and decent secondaries surrounding her. These make longer colas with tighter internodes and a great bud to plant ratio. This one is medium size with a solid structure not requiring support. Second pheno has emerged that likes to branch and bush to where it can be difficult to find the 'main'. This phenotype is substantially larger with a stretchier more 'og' like growth pattern but totally manageable. Both phenos present very unique flowers with mint and deep exotic aromas. Expect Frosty dense nugs and beautiful aroma from this lady." Other details are 65-70 days from seed flower time, 50/50 Indica/Sativa with a total size of 50-90cm. I've never grown it before, so we shall see! >> EQUIPMENT << I keep things pretty Lo-Fi: 3 Gallon Felt pot Vitalink Calmag Bio-Bizz Light Mix Bio-Bizz Grow Bio-Bizz Bloom Bio-Bizz Alg-A-Mic Fecida CR600 125w LED I grow in the Space Cupboard, a broom cupboard in my kitchen with the walls wrapped in survival blankets. It's small, but it's stealthy and convenient. >> GERMINATION TIMELINE << 22/02 - Seed put in between two cotton pads, soaked in water and kept in between two bowls in the floor of my grow space to keep warm. 23/02 - Took just over 24 hours, but the seed cracked in the PM and I got her in the mud this evening. Humidity dome placed on top so I don't have to worry about soil drying out on me. 25/02 - It took about 36 hours, but the sprout finally broke the surface of the soil in the early afternoon and we're good to go! Time for the grow to get going. I think I'm going to do some light LST and depending on how she is running I may top her, or I may not, it's all a wait and see game for now!

Hey everyone, I hope you're well, welcome to my Mephisto Forum Stomper grow, week 1! Day 3 - Height: 2" the seedling is doing well, stretched a little tall for my liking, but it's fine. She's strong and growing with vigour so all good. Nothing doing right now, just staked the soil ready to train her in a couple of weeks. watering with a tiny bit of water around the stem maybe once every other day, no nutrients. You know what the first week is like, everything quiet! Day 6 - Height: 3" She stretched a little high for my liking but has stopped now and has settled down. Seems to be cracking along just fine, leaves are gaining in size. Not much doing right now, just watchering and adding a touch of water every now and then. Onwards and upwards, looking forward to next week when we should see a few more nodes and some decent growth as the week progresses! Grow well x

Welcome back to the Forum Stomper! Week 2, so she should shoot out a few new nodes this week and start taking a nice shape. Day 8 - Height: 2.5" She was stretching a little too far and began to droop under her own weight, so I topped the soil up and buried about an inch or so of her stem in new soil. She's a much more comfortable size now, though she looks a bit drunk for a few hours where her leaves had twisted to the light a bit and she's now twisting back. She'll sort herself out. No other care really, just watering with a tiny amount of water now and then, towards the end of this week I'll begin adding 1ml/l of Alg-A-Mic and prep her for first dosage of proper nutrients next week. I'll also start watching her from now on to pick a good time to start LST, though it probably won't be until next week. Day 11 - Height: 5" Really coming on nicely now. The nodes are stacking up really tightly, almost a little too tightly! I'll hopefully get a bit of room to start LST when the next node comes through and then fingers crossed she'll hit the stretch shortly after. I haven't started feeding nutrients yet still. Thinking I'll wait on next water, which should put her bang on 2 weeks and she can get a first dose of grow and alg-a-mic at a low dose. Keeps the first couple of weeks simple. Looking good though. Thanks for stopping in, grow well! x

Welcome back to week three for the Forum Stomper, things are starting to get interesting! First feeds started this week, so nutrient solution is pretty low at 552 PPM in and 597 PPM in the runoff, which is fine, though she didn't really respond all that well to the Nitrogen so I'll have to watch out for that in future weeks. (Note: my water sits around 350 PPM out of the tap.) Day 14 - Height: 4" I did the first part of LST with this girl. To start with I put a loop around the base of the stem, tying it off on the handle of the pot opposite the direction I was going to bend the plant, this was to support the roots under bending and make sure I don't pull the plant up at all. After that, I bent down her main stem and using a U shaped piece of wire, pinned it down horizontally. I also pulled one side stem in the opposing direction and did the same. Over the next few days I'll have to pin down the other side stems as they grow a little more but right now they've not really got the length to direct them anywhere and they're basically all leaf and no stem. I haven't done any defoliation yet, but I will do so as and when the larger fan leaves get in the way. I'll introduce nutirents this week too, starting off with low dosages of 1ml/l and working up week by week from there. All healthy and looking good! Day 15 Just a small update to the LST today, got those side stems pulled down, so I have stems pulled down in each direction, N, E, S, W. Day 19 - Height: 5" She's starting to bush up nicely after training now, I think next week once I let her grow out a little more I'm going to have to defoliate fairly heavily, but right now I'm mostly just leaf tucking in order to open up the sides a little better. I snapped off the lowermost branch whilst trying to twist down the wire around which was annoying , but live and learn. Looking healthy and hopefully the majority of the training is done now, I'll just be making small adjustments to control the canopy from here in. Leaves are nice and lush and the main stem is starting to harden up now, looking strong! Thanks a lot for reading, grow well! x

Welcome back to my Mephisto Forum Stomper grow! Nutrient solution is still quite low given this plants propensity to claw up and it also looks like this week she isn't really using a lot of nutes anyway, as runoff PPM has shot up at 584 PPM in and 780 in the runoff so I'll have to keep a bit of an eye on her. (Note: my water sits around 350 PPM out of the tap.) Day 21 - Height: 6" She's doing well, it's been a pretty hectic few days, relatively speaking... First up, I began feeding nutrients last week and despite keeping it at a low does of 1ml/l, she still began to claw on her newest leaves. I have dialed back on Grow nutes straight away and interestingly, looked up the Mephisto strain guide and it actually mentions that Forum Stomper needs a light touch at first with feeding, so that was pretty spot on. I'll continue to feed at 1ml/l, but rather than feed every other water, I'll toss in a few more plain waterings between new nutes I think. Secondly, she began showing pre-flowers right from about Day 19 which is pretty fast! I've stopped actively training her now and will let her stretch out as she is for now. Luckily I was able to get her into a good shape before that happened anyway, so it's all good. She seems like she's in a real hurry though! I'll probably have to do some defoliation but I'm going to let her off for a bit and see where she goes. Otherwise, everything appears to be going well, her leaves are a really nice, lush green and I really like the cabbage like crinkle effect they have. Really healthy look. Hopefully she'll put on some good stretch over the next few days and weeks before she hits flower! Day 24 - Height: 8" I know I said I would stop messing with the training now, but I went back in and opened up the middle of the plant a bit more as well as doing a fair chunk of defoliation. She's looking really good to grow out now though and from on I really will ler stretch up and see where she goes. Probably I'll just have to tinker with some of the new side stems. Hopefully you can see my training clearly enough in the pictures. As for feeding, still sticking to plain water this week and will probably have to do that until next week, when I'll try again with some half strength Grow nutes, as she shoul dbe hungry by then. You can see some of the clawing still from her last feed, she's definitely a sensitive one!

Welcome back to my Mephisto Forum Stomper diary, coming along nicely now! I went really light with the nutrients this week in an effort to bring the high rundown numbers down a little. Nutrient solution in was at 448 PPM, with 780 in the runoff, which is still a bit high, so I'll continue to alternate feeding with plain water a bit more often over the next week or so. (Note: my water sits around 350 PPM out of the tap.) Day 28 - Height: 10" I've pretty much left her alone as far as training goes, just letting her stretch up and hit flower as is. I did some light defoliation, which I'll probably do over the next couple of weeks almost daily, just clipping off leaves here or there rather than going too mad all at once. Feeding nutrients is still a very light touch. I fed 1ml/l of grow and alg-a-mic and introduced bloom too this week, but she's still clawing a little, which is a madness when you think she's only had 4ml of grow nutrients over her whole life, so to get Nitrogen toxicity from that is pretty off. Very delicate plant apparently. Looking good though, hitting that early flower stretch and stems are bulking up nicely, so time to sit back and see how she flowers for the next couple of weeks! Day 32 - height: 12" I've completely removed Grow nutrients from the feeding regimen now, this plant clearly can't handle any Nitrogen based additives at all. Instead I fed purely the Alg-A-Mic and Bloom nutrients and alternated it with plain water in between to help flush through some of the Nitrogen left in the soil. She is still clawing a bit, but growing well, so it's no big deal, just a clear sign to knock off the Grow nutrients. Pre-flower sites are shooting up all over now, so I'm starting to have some good hopes for this plant. We'll see over the next week or so as flowering should kick off properly very soon!

Welcome back to my Forum Stomper grow, Week 6 and we're really flowering now! Nutrient solution has gotten back to a healthy level now, after she was running a bit high in the runoff for a couple of weeks. I have been watering with plain water a bit more, usually twice in between each nutrient feed to get it back down. Numbers this week are at 1039 PPM in and 1074 PPM in the run off. (Note: my water sits around 350 PPM out of the tap.) Day 35 - Height: 14" This plant is really turning into a bit of a monster. There's bud sites growing everywhere, almost on any open space of branch, a bud site is popping up. I'm really looking forward to seeing how she keep going. She's still really delicate, I'm feeding very little nutrients, though she's finally stopped clawing now it seems, which is good. I was thinking today as I was watering that this would be the perfect plant for a beginner to grow, as it requires almost nothing in terms of nutrients and at the same time, really teaches you about the level of restraint needed when growing Autoflowers. Anyway, easy growing, just watering mainly in a pattern of water > water > nutrients > repeat and measuring runoff, which is still coming out a little high, but should balance out as time passes with this watering schedule. Day 39 - Height: 14" Runoff has got back to a perfect level now, which is actually the first time since I started with nutrients, so finally I guess this plant is up-taking a decent amount of feed. She's really an ugly, bushy monster, but hey I'm not complaining, because she's going to be full of bud I'm fairly sure. I did defoliate quite a bit this evening, but I think it might be an ongoing project for the next couple of weeks, taking a few leaves off here and there. She's started to smell quite strong too as well now, nothing overwhelming but definitely there's a scent around the grow space now. It's a very dirty, muddy, earthy scent with quite strong gasoline vibes. I'm going to drop a touch of calmag into her feed late this week or early next week, which is pretty much standard for my water at this point of the grow, along with a 1ml/L dose of BioBizz Grow for the Nitrogen, just to stop too much of the lower foliage fading too fast, because she's definitely starting to lose the lush green colour about now, which is totally to be expected given she's full into flower. Looking good though and has a lot of promise! Should be a couple of interesting weeks ahead to see how much the buds develop on all the flower sites! Thanks for reading, grow well! x

Welcome back to the Forum Stomper! A few interesting things going on with this plant as we move into week 7... Nutrient solution is at a pretty standard level for her age now, with 1130 PPM in and 1147 PPM in the run off, which is really good and much more normal. (Note: my water sits around 350 PPM out of the tap.) Day 42 - Height: 15" So first up, she seems to be developing a calcium deficiency, as well as a bit of a Nitrogen deficiency, which is incredibly frustrating given the way she responds to any nitrogen whatsoever by clawing up. So I'm basically caught between a rock and a hard place... I noticed the calcium issues early on, so started to drop 1ml/l of Vitalink CalMag into her water at the end of last week and will continue to do so for this week and probably next week too. That should stave it off. The Nitrogen problem is a little more difficult. I have decided to add BioBizz Grow back into her feed schedule at 1ml/l for now and clawing be damned. I'll feed that just enough to get her back to a lush green colour and then remove it again. Aside from that though, things are going well. She's starting to fatten up now and should start moving into late flower in good shape. Check out how frosty she's getting for a start, that's very exciting and keep in mind I don't take any photos with a flash. She's also starting to stink it up now too and has a really lovely scent, something like a dirty, earthy caramel. Good times. Day 46 - Height: 15" The buds are starting to fatten up nicely now, they seem to be putting on weight as every day passes. She is still showing a few too many yellow leaves, but has been taking on nutrients without clawing up instantly now, so I think this strain seems to just need very little added nutrition for the first month or so and then acts as normal after. Should be 3-4 more weeks of fattening up and coasting to the finish now, she looks really healthy and has nice strong stems. She's definitely got a really strong funk to her now, smelling up the grow space nicely. I should be able to see results in terms of the CalMag by next week, but the deficiency is definitely not progressing, so that's good. Thanks for reading, stay healthy and grow well!

Welcome back to the beginning of the end for the Forum Stomper grow! Day 50 - Height: 15" This plant is pretty much coasting into the last few weeks of life now. She's putting on weight at a nice rate and starting to fade out, with a fair amount of the foliage turning yellow as nutrients are pulled into the buds. She's drinking really heavily at this point and I'm watering almost daily, sometimes every other day. Looking good though! I'm pretty sure she's going to be a quick one, with another 2-3 weeks max in her, so looking around day 70 for harvest at the longest, though of course that might all change, just my early predictions! I've removed the calmag from her feed this week as she shouldn't need it anymore, but have opted to keep the BioBizz Grow food going for another week, instead of removing it entirely, just to help out and hopefully slow down the cannibalisation of her leaves. Day 54 - Height: 15" Happy 4/20! This plant is still looking good, not really doing much now aside from fattening up nicely and coasting to the finish. Her leaves are starting to get a bit crispy, so I may do a quick flush this week in between feeds, but we're accelerating towards the finish line anyhow, so it depends how bad she looks tomorrow! The stink is getting real now and she's looking straight furry. Easy days! Thanks for following along, take it easy!

Welcome back to the Forum Stomper grow, wrapping up now, maybe 2 weeks left at the top end I think! Day 56 - Height: 15" Flying along, looking great, smelling great. Really it's just coasting to the end now. She's cannibalising her leaves like a beast, so all I'm really doing as far as care goes is snipping off anything that gets too crispy and dead after the entire leaf has gone yellow. Still drinking a lot of water and I am having to water almost every other day right now. I'd expect by the end of the week that will slow down and then we'll have 1-2 more weeks before the big chop! The buds are covering in trichomes nicely and any touch coats your fingers in sticky, stinky resin. Great plant so far! Day 61 - Height: 15" This little ripper is basically just putting on bulk now. her leaves have gone pretty crispy which is always a bit of a bummer, but I struggle to keep them looking lush and green at this point in their life, maybe that's just normal, but I dunno. She is really stinking up the grow space now though and gives off a really sour, diesel vibe. She's still shooting some fresh pistils at the top of the buds, but interestingly is beginning to show amber trichomes, but they are still a very low percentage. Still looking good for a Day 70-ish harvest I think, so it won't be long now! I'll flush her this week and coast her to finish and we'll see where we are this time next week. I think she's going to be yielding a good weight, so very excited for this one coming down! Thanks for reading, grow well x

Welcome back to what should be the end of the Forum stomper grow... Day 63 - Height: 15" This plant is basically all bud at this point. She absolutely stinks, I can't take her out of the grow space for more than 30 seconds before she stinks out my whole house. If you're looking for stealth and don't have any odour control in your setup, I would avoid at all costs, 'cos this one will bust you. I'm currently keeping it under control with a Rhino fan and charcoal filter setup scrubbing the air and it's doing a decent job, but it has to run 24/7. Overall care for this plant has basically stalled really, she is taking up much less water than in previous weeks, so must be nearing the end of her life and I'm expecting to chop this weekend most likely. I haven't scoped the trichomes properly yet, but having a quick look under my loupe I can see a small percentage are amber right now, so I'll get the microscope out at the weekend and have a proper evaluation. Happy days! Thanks for following along, grow well x

Growing: Excellent strain to grow, very easy. You definitely have to go VERY easy on the nutrients for the first 6 weeks or so and she's prone to clawing at the first sign of any nutrient with Nitrogen in it, but after that, flips completely in mid-flower and becomes quite hungry. Trains well and grows with a solid, strong main stem with all the branches turning into bud from top to bottom. Smoking: Nice strain with a strong, complex flavour in a vape. Quite heavy hitting but very relaxing, sucking away tension real fast. This is a good strain for anxiety and stress imo. Will be saved for a pre-bed time smoke for me as it's a little hard hitting for a day smoke, but YMMV as I'm quite a light, casual smoker.

Another plant murdered in cold blood... She came down on day 68 from sprout, which is pretty fast! I do tend to harvest earlier than some might like, as you can see from the trichomes which were pretty low % of amber, but that's just my preference to avoid too much heavy couchlock after smoking. >> HARVEST AND TRIM << Happy days! She yielded quite well, though honestly I did expect it to be more given the density of the buds on the stems. Not going to turn my nose up at 271g wet though, she should come down to about 2.5oz dry I guess. We shall see in a week or so... I trimmed quite heavily when wet as the weather has been a little cooler recently. I normally like to trim off only the largest fan leaves for the first few days of drying, but I went in quite heavy handed right from harvest this time. I'll definitely be saving the trim off this one as it's absolutely covered in trichomes, so should get a fair amount of kief off her. Everything went into the drying rack on full stems, in 50% Relative Humidity and temps around 16-20C. >> DRY BUD REPORT << Dry took 6 full days, which is a little quick but not really too much different to how it always goes in my conditions. Dry weight came out at 59g/2oz which is okay I guess, but the bud itself is a real prize and feels rock solid. She really stank out the house for the first few days of drying, this is really not one for stealth, not by any stretch. The smell did calm down somewhat after, but I really, honestly have to warn you away from this strain if smell can be an issue for you. Now it's all dry the scent is lovely, slightly sweet, a little gasoline, a little pine.. actually it is really complex for weed, but definitely great. >> EARLY SMOKE << Test nug was a bit harsh but that's obvious as it was straight from the rack and without any cure, so I expect that to go away over the coming weeks. taste in a vape was beautiful though, very strong flavours and as complex as the scent. Over-riding everything is a sense of sweetness though, which is really pleasant. The high was good, very, very relaxing, hitting me in the chest quite hard and turning my muscles to jelly. Quite a strong strain and for my tastes definitely one for before bed. >> FINAL THOUGHTS << This was a really nice grow. I loved the plants structure and the scent was unreal. I also loved how frosty she got, turning white under the LED, so very pretty to look at. As far as growing goes, it was very easy to look after and had very little problems. The only thing to really be careful of is nutrients for the first 5-6 weeks, as it was really sensitive to Nitrogen. Next time I grow this strain I would probably go right down to a 1/4 nutrient mix for those weeks. Training was good though and this plant was totally fine with it, responding really well and growing through it all without a hitch. I still have 4 seeds left and I'll absolutely be growing it again, perhaps not straight away as I like to keep things varied, but I'll definitely use up the seeds and look forward to growing them out. Thanks a lot for following along with the grow, here's to the next one! Stay healthy and grow well, cheers!

i stressed high runoff for a bit then said fuck it. i grow in Coco and they say that it's not a good way to base things. Blue labs 6.1 seems to be my magic spot For that matter I use the ppm pen too i got but don't actually gage things with it... i'm dropping 1400 ppm in and they LOVE it.... from what i've read it should be nuking them.... dont stress that ppm to much either
