Starting germination today using the paper towel method. Hopefully she’ll be cracked open and taproot out in the next 24-48 hours.
Day 1 Germination - Nothing new today, just did a quick check and looks like she’s just starting to crack open a bit.
Day 0 - Started germinating this girl in a paper towel on 24 Feb and a nice big taproot was finally out 27 Feb. Went ahead and placed her into a jiffy pellet and humidity dome. Just waiting for her to pop through and start her journey. Debating on using a 5 or 3 gallon fabric pot. My last few grows have been in a 3 and thinking of trying a 5 to see the difference in growth.
Day 1 - She’s up and out of the soil so went ahead and transferred her to a 3 gallon fabric pot and placed her into the tent with a glass bowl over her to keep up the humidity.
Day 2 - Just a few updated pictures for progress and gave the soil a light spray of water and the inside of the bowl I use over top of her to keep the humidity up a bit. Will probably start using a foliar spray with her tomorrow.
Day 3 - Nothing much new happening, just the boring seedling stage. Gave the soil a light mist of water and then gave her a foliar spray and sprayed the inside of the bottle I’m keeping over her for higher humidity.
Day 4 - Another day down and looking good for being a newborn. Nothing much to report other that the normal spray of water on the soil and inside the glass I have over her. Gonna continue giving her a foliar spray once a day.
Day 5 - Nothing new to update other than a few pictures. Gave her a foliar spray again and put about 50ML of water in a circle about an inch around her stem.
Day 6 - All going good and still just misting the soil and giving her a foliar spray. Took her out for some updated pictures and put her back in the tent with her humidity lid over her.
Day 7 - Just some updated pictures tonight for the end of week 1.
Day 8 - Starting week 2 and all still the same. Just getting through this slow and boring seedling stage and waiting for her to take off. Misted the soil and the inside of her cover a bit and gave her a foliar spray as well.
Day 9 - Gave her soil another mist of water and gave her about 100ML of water along with Technaflora’s Route 66 and Sugardaddy. Continuing the use of a foliar spray as well.
Day 10 - All still going well and not much to update today. Continuing with misting the soil and keeping the cover wet for higher humidity.
Day 11 - Nothing new today, just the usual misting of the soil and the inside of her cover. Still giving her a decent daily foliar spray.
Day 12 - All still looking good and seems like she’s wanting to start taking off soon. Continued with spraying the top layer of the soil and the inside of her cover. Probably start upping the water a tad starting in week 3 and will start giving her a light dose of veg nutes.
Day 14 - Ending week 2 today and she’s looking a bit unhappy. I’ve been having an issue keeping the humidity up, even with the humidifier running so went ahead an gave her about 250ML’s of water with 1/4 strength nutes and put her cover back over her to help with humidity.
Day 15 - Starting week 3 and she looked like she was ready to start some training so started LST today. She was 3.6 inches tall and now tied down to around 2. Just need some light to the lower development so I can start tying them out as well.
Day 16 - Well she was looking good yesterday and having damn humidity issues again so went back with using a cover on her again. Hopefully that’ll help perk her back up. Also completely spaced on the fact that I’m using Fox Farm Ocean Forest and gave her a light dose of nutes the other day and there’s already some in the soil. I didn’t water her with much so hopefully that’s not gonna her her too bad.
Day 17 - Putting the cover over her yesterday to help raise the humidity seemed to help. She’s perked back up and looking good today. So decided to continue the LST and gonna keep the cover over her a bit longer.
Day 18 - Drooping again today, this girl just does not like the humidity to drop below 70%. When I’m able to keep it up, she’s fine and looks nice and perky but the minute she drops below, she droops, so doing everything in my power to keep it as high as I can. I did tie her back down again today.
Day 19 - Had to removed a couple of the bigger fan leaves that was covering everything below and then tied out a couple branches and tied the main stem down again. Hoping I’ve got the humidity issue worked out.
Day 21 - Ending week 4 and she’s starting to come along nicely now that the humidity is under more control. Went ahead and did a little more training with her and tied out a couple branches to keep her opened to the lights. Will be giving her a bit of water tomorrow.
Day 22 - Starting week 4 today and gave her a bit of plain pH’d water, about 500ML so we’ll see how she takes to that. I’ve only been doing 50-100ML every couple of days but she’s getting bigger now so starting to up the water. Did a little more training with her today as well.
Day 23 - All looks good after upping her water intake yesterday. Didn’t do anymore tie down adjusting today, waiting for her to stretch a bit more.
Day 24 - Gave her a bit more water today, the soil was already dried up. Also did a little more adjusting to the tie downs today and removed two more of the top fan leaves blocking the lower stuff.
Day 25 - Did a bunch more adjusting and tied down a few more branches as well. She’s looking good since giving her a bigger dose of water yesterday.
Day 29 - Starting week 5 and ended up giving her a little over a quarter gallon of water today. Also continued with the training and adjusted a bunch more of tie downs.
Day 30 - Nothing much today but she is still a bit droopy so just to be sure, I squished up the soil a bit to make sure the roots have room to breathe. Did do a little more adjusting to the pipe cleaners today as well.
Day 31 - Still looming quite a bit droopy today and tested the soil down to the bottom and it’s bone dry, so hoping all she’s needing is some water to perk up. Gave her about a gallon and a half of plain pH’d (6.7) water and we’ll see what that does for her.
Day 32 - She’s definitely looking a lot better today so she must of been pretty thirsty. Went ahead and continued LST and readjusted quite a bit of the tie downs.
Day 36 - Starting week 7 and she’s starting to bud up nicely already, so this is the first full week of flower. She was ready for some water today and gave her the first round of bloom nutes today. Did a little more LST with her as well and gonna let her stretch up for a bit now.
Day 37 - She’s looking really good and did a little more adjusting to her tie downs today. She’s starting to show a bit of purple coming out already too. She might be ready for water already in another day or two.
Day 38 - She should be ready for another round of water tomorrow. Did some more LST with her and a light defoliation to try and get the middle to stretch a bit more and try to catch up to all the outer branches.
Day 39 - She was ready for some water tonight so she got plain pH’d water and then did a little more LST with her so she doesn’t get too crazy tall. Seeing lots of purple coming out in here and she looks great.
Day 40 - Nothing much happening today, she’s a bit droopy but did notice the pH if the runoff was a tad bit lower than I think she likes so if she gets worse, I’ll give her a flush and see if that helps.
Day 43 - Starting week 7 today and she’s really starting to show her purples. She was dried up so gave her a feeding of nutes today. Not much else going on with her right now, just watching her bud up and she is putting out a nice berry smell at the moment.
Day 44 - Not much to speak of, she’s still going through a bit of a stretch right now and kicking back watching the colors come out.
Day 47 - Looking like her stretching has stopped for the most part and now just watching her pack on the buds. The smell coming from her is really strong now and smells like berries. Gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water today.
Day 50 - Starting week 8 and she’s got a strong sweet berry smell going on. Gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water today and she’ll get a round of nutes next feeding. She’s really starting to darken up in color right now and haven’t really had any grow issues to this point.
Day 51 - Nothing much to speak of today, just took her out for some updated daily pics and moved her back into the tent, all is looking good.
Day 54 - All looking good and loving her colors so far. She’s done stretching and will be a nice compact plant. Gave her 2 gallons of water and nutes yesterday and not really having any issues to this point.
Day 57 - Starting week 9 and gave her 2 gallons of plain pH’d water today. She’s really starting to fill in and fatten up. I did do a light defoliation today but mainly just a few lower dying fan leaves.
Day 58 - Just some updated pictures for the day, nothing to really speak of today.
Day 59 - Just some more daily updated pictures, not much happening other than a little defoliation each day. She should be ready for a bit of water in the next day or two.
Day 60 - Nothing much again today other than I gave her some plain pH’d water. She’s filling in and starting to fatten up nicely and the berry smell is amazing!!!
Day 63 - All looks great still and she’s gonna need some water and nutes tomorrow. Not much else happening other than some light defoliating.
Day 64 - All good and probably gave her the last feeding of nutes today. Her leaves are starting to fade out pretty quickly and not seeing very many clear trichs, mostly milky and only a handful of amber in there. So thinking she might be down to her last two weeks or so but if she needs more time, I’ll give it to her.
Day 65 - Nothing new today, just took her out, did a little defoliating and put her back into the tent. She’s finishing up pretty quick so at this point I’m hoping she’ll make it to the weekend.
Day 66 - Just some updated photos today, gonna give her pH’d water with MagiCal and Sugardaddy to start flushing her out tomorrow, though she’s pretty faded and doesn’t really need it.
Day 67 - Any day now I’m gonna give her the axe, probably Saturday or Sunday sometime. Her leaves are all yellowed up and trichs are all milky and starting to get a few amber in there.
Day 69 - Decided to give her just a little more time and see if she’ll fatten up a bit more so gave her two gallons of water with 5ML of MagiCal and 80ML of Sugardaddy.
Day 70 - Ending week 10 today and week 11 will be her final week before getting the axe. I want to wait until she’s dried completely up so she’ll most likely get chopped something next weekend.
Day 71 - Starting week 11 and the final week, if she makes it that long. Just pretty much waiting for her to dry out then will give her the chop. Such a strong fruit and berry smell coming from her right now so looking forward to getting her ready to smoke.
Day 72 - Nothing much has changed just some daily pictures and about 3 more days before I chop her.
Day 73 - She’s still not completely dried up but should be in the next day or so, then probably chop her on Saturday.
Overall she was a pretty smooth grow and didn’t really have any significant issues. She took really well to LST and defoliation. Definitely looking forward to running this one again. Looking at and watching the colors come in was an awesome sight to see.
