👉🏽 2/25: Put to soak in water at 10:30 a.m. for a 24-hour period. Will be using the paper towel germination method.
👉🏽 2/26: Seed placed in paper towel @ 10:30 a.m.
👉🏽 2/27: Placed in soil @7:30 p.m. after developing 1/2" taproot. Dusted Great White in the 1/2" deep hole. About 33 hours in paper towel.
This is my third grow, and first with a larger tent (2x4x6). Will be running three Mephisto plants total: Forum Stomper, Fugue State, and Skywalker (the FFS crew).
Using 3 gallon fabric pots and Biobizz Lite Mix soil. Keeping the tent between 75-80ºF and 55-60% RH. I'll be using the OG Spring to train FS.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 1 (3/1): Emerged late morning (after 39 hours) with seed coat--since removed--clinging horizontally to leaves. Light height set at 1 m, intensity just above 50%. 24 hours prior to placing germinated seeds in pot, the pots (3 gal.) were watered to runoff with 2 l/pot; Voodoo Juice added. Will be following TaNg's easy auto feeding schedule, adding B-52 during veg, Voodoo Juice, Great White mycorrhizae (top-dressed bi-weekly), Big Bud, Carboload, Bud Candy, and Cal-Mag (when needed.)
👉🏽 Day 7 (3/7): Watered: 1.5 l with Voodoo Juice, B-52, and Great White.
Next watering with Voodoo Juice and B-52
Next application of Great White: around Day 21.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 8 (3/8): Chugging along just fine. Hoping to see a nice growth spurt soon. . . .
👉🏽 Day 10 (3/10): Watered with Voodoo Juice and B-52. The stalk has become sturdier, which is a relief; she stretched a bit early on.
👉🏽 Day 13 (3/13): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B. Right now, she needs the least amount of water of her tentmates and can be testy.
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B. Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Next application of Great White: around Day 21.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 15 (3/15): Responding well to first dose of nutrients. Will stay at .5 ml/l for Sensi Bloom A&B for one more watering before bumping it up to .75 ml/l.
👉🏽 Day 16 (3/16): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B and CalMag. She's becoming bushy, and I'll probably start using the OG Spring when she's a bit taller than 7".
👉🏽 Day 17 (3/17): Starting to show signs of a Mg deficiency. Will up the dose from .25-.5 ml/l in the next watering.
👉🏽 Day 19 (3/19): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (.75 ml/l) and CalMag (.5 ml/l). Grew 1" in 24 hours. Hoping pre-flowers appear soon, as she's almost ready for training.
👉🏽 Day 20 (3/20): First pre-flowers appeared. Did some leaf tucking to expose two bud sites.
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l) and CalMag, with a top dress of Great White. Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Next application of Great White: around Day 21.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 22 (3/22): Leaf tucking continues. Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l) and CalMag, with a top dress of Great White.
👉🏽 Day 23 (3/23): She's taking well to the nutrient levels, but I'm going to keep her at 1 ml/l because her tentmate has to stay at that amount (and I'm a bit lazy). The CalMag is working great, and it helps provide more N.
👉🏽 Day 24 (3/24): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l) and CalMag. Removed some fan leaves that weren't getting any light. She's growing steadily, and I'll have to make a decision on when to use the spring for training: wait until she's 14" tall or start sooner because flowering has started. Will test how flexible she is tomorrow.
👉🏽 Day 26 (3/26): Watered with same nutrient levels. She's flexible enough for spring training to start in a couple of days. Such a steady grow. 🤞🏽
👉🏽 Day 28 (3/28): Watered with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l) and CalMag. While doing some defoliation, I noticed that the satellite colas are almost as tall as the main cola. Decided not to use any spring LST but will use 90º clips starting soon. (The spring will be great on the three sativas that will be grown on the summer run!)
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l), CalMag, and Voodoo Juice. If it's Day 30 or later, Big Bud (.5 ml/l) will be used. Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Next application of Great White: around Day 35.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 29 (3/29): All good. She's starting to get wider and growing 1" in height daily.
👉🏽 Day 30 (3/30): Watered with first dose of Big Bud; will give Voodoo juice until around Day 45. Grew 2" in 24 hours 🌿
👉🏽 Day 32 (4/1): Watered with first dose of Carboload. 1.5" growth. Defoliated a few more bud sides up to two nodes on stems.
👉🏽 Day 34 (4/3): Watered and minor defoliation of 50/50 leaves. Humidifier crisis from previous day solved, and the leaves aren't drooping anymore. A really fast feeder.
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l), CalMag, Voodoo Juice, Big Bud (.25 or .5 ml/l), and Carboload (1 ml/l). Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Next application of Great White: around Day 35.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 36 (4/5): Watered, using CalMag from GO rather than Botanicare. (Wanted to reduce amount of N in feedings.)
👉🏽 Day 38 (4/7): Watered with a top-dress of Great White, still keeping the Big Bud at .25 ml/l. Hoping to get some good flower development so that upping it to .5 ml/l won't be risky.
👉🏽 Day 39 (4/8): First sighting of trichomes 😎
👉🏽 Day 40 (4/9): Watered with nutrients, rotated the pot, and that's it. There's really no leaf-tucking or defoliation to do, except for a few old, wind-damaged leaves near the bottom. Knock on wood. Same height as yesterday, so the stretch might be close to done. . . .
👉🏽 Day 42 (4/11): Water and defoliation day. Upped Big Bud dose and decided against using B-52 (leaf tips are just beginning to lighten). Removed damaged leaves and cut/pinched off lower flowering sites. Showing continued stretch after lights raised to the halfway point between 50-75% (First time using a lux meter and converting to par, hope it pays off!)
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l), CalMag, Big Bud (.5 ml/l), and Carboload (1 ml/l). Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Next application of Great White: around Day 49.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 43 (4/12): Doing okay with the increased light intensity. Seems to be hungry for Mg and N, so I'll be switching over to Overdrive and a higher dose of CalMag to help. Pretty majestic otherwise 😬 Faint smell of citrus and pepper.
👉🏽 Day 44 (4/13): Watered with first dose of Overdrive and is taking well to it--may increase dose if the new growth is pale. Still stretching, but slowing down.
👉🏽 Day 46 (4/15): Watered, removing about 6 lower stems/bud sites; took the treatment well! Will up the CalMag & Overdrive next time to help out with Mg & N deficiency.
👉🏽 Day 48 (4/17): Watered and reacting well to higher doses. New leaf and flower growth is dark green with no burnt tips. Added top-dress of Great White; this will be the last time using the myco for this grow.
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (1 ml/l), CalMag (1 ml/l), Overdrive (.75 or 1 ml/l), and Carboload (1 ml/l). Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 50 (4/19): Watered and reacting well to higher dose of Overdrive. Buds are developing well, and the light is really shining through the canopy.
👉🏽 Day 51 (4/20): Hope y'all had an excellent day! Over here, the smell is almost nasty, like rotting fruit. Hoping the filter holds on. . . .
👉🏽 Day 53 (4/22): Backed off on the Sensi Bloom A&B due to some tip burn, and will stay there for the time being. May add B-52 at .25 ml/l for next feed just to see if it'll help with bud development.
👉🏽 Day 54 (4/23): Watered and seems to be responding well. All good.
👉🏽 Day 56 (4/25): Watered and defoliated about 25% of leaves (mostly inward-facing). This grow has been about being more aggressive with lighting intensity, and the mids and remaining lowers are showing good results!
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (.75 ml/l), B-52 (.25 ml/l), CalMag (1 ml/l), Overdrive (1 ml/l), and Carboload (1 ml/l). Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 57 (4/26): Took to yesterday's defoliation pretty well, and is starting to show a little red on the edges of the upper leaves.
👉🏽 Day 58 (4/27): Watered, but decided to end the B-52 since the buds are stacking quickly. Trichomes at about 10% cloudy.
👉🏽 Day 60 (4/29): Steady as she goes. Watered and removed a few leaves, but things are on cruise control now. 🤞🏽
👉🏽 Day 62 (5/1): Watered and removed lower 50/50 leaves, as well as some inward-facing ones.
Next watering with Sensi Bloom A&B (.75 ml/l), CalMag (1 ml/l), Overdrive (1 ml/l), and Carboload (1 ml/l). Will be adding nutrients with each watering, which will be to minimal runoff.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 64 (5/3): Watered with some minor defoliation of some inward-facing leaves. Stopped adding CalMag, since I think harvest will come in two weeks or so. At about 50% cloudy right now.
👉🏽 Day 66 (5/5): Watered with stepped-down nutrients. Still at around 50% cloudy.
👉🏽 Day 68 (5/7): Watered. Responding well to the gradual step-down in nutrients, and the next watering will just be Overdrive (.25 ml/l). Did some super minor LST to help with airflow, and still working on defoliation.
👉🏽 Day 70 (5/9): Watered with only (and last dose of) Overdrive, with trichomes at around 75% cloudy. Ph'd RO water from here on out. Defoliated more to increase airflow. I snuck a tester nug for a smoke, and it's a big head rush with super-focus and lower anxiety! Smell is light lemon-lime combo.
Next watering: Ph'd RO water for 10 days or until at least 50% milky.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 70 (5/9): Watered with only (and last dose of) Overdrive, with trichomes at around 75% cloudy. Ph'd RO water from here on out. Defoliated more to increase airflow. Smell is light lemon-lime combo. I snuck a tester nug for a smoke, and it's a big head rush with super-focus and lower anxiety! Smell is light lemon-lime combo.
👉🏽 Day 72 (5/11): First watering with ph'd RO water. Things are at about 30% milky.
👉🏽 Day 74 (5/13): Watered and forgot how ph swings in plain RO. Got things sorted out and enjoying the bud show.
👉🏽 Day 76 (5/15): Watered and tried to capture the nice fade from a few colas. Around 40% milky.
Next watering: Ph'd RO water until Day 80 or until at least 50% milky.
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
👉🏽 Day 78 (5/17): Watered for the last time and will harvest on either Day 80 or 81, with 24 hours of darkness the day before harvest. Reduced light intensity to 50% due to emergence of white stigmas. Loving the fade and the bud structure with this plant.
👉🏽 Day 81 (5/20): Harvest day! Will be doing a dry trim, so I just removed fan leaves. Now drying in the tent at 75ºF & ≈55% RH. (Will post harvest info/page after drying, since I forgot to weigh her wet.)
Thanks for dropping by! 🖖🏽🌿
Trimmed up after a one-week dry at 75˚F and 55% RH. I'll update with a better smoke report (and bud pictures!) in about two weeks after some curing.
I've sampled some buds in both a joint and a bubbler. This hits right behind the eyes, and there's a good kick of energy. You'll be walking the dog, mowing the lawn, organizing your seed stash, etc. 😂 It's been great for focusing on both tasks and other things like watching movies or listening to music.
Thanks for checking the grow out! Will be updating at different points during the curing process. . . . 🖖🏽🌿
Fugue state is a pretty easy grow. Initially, I was going to use the OG Spring to train it. The main cola, though, was about the same height as the rest of the colas, so I let it grow naturally. Will definitely need CalMag in veg and flower. There may have been a pH issue during flower, but the buds are pretty tight and substantial. I'll definitely use greater light intensity when I grow this next time, since it looks like the buds could have developed a bit more.
@chee_52, I'm wishing I would have switched to flower when the plant was a bit smaller and defoliated more , sooner. But it's a first grow so all good.
