2/26- Here we go...Day one for the #1 pheno of the Banana Kush Auto. I soaked this seed in tap water for 24hrs. two days ago. After 24hrs I checked and it had popped. I then planted it directly into it's 10g fabric pot filled with coco/perlite. The next day I checked on her and she had broke ground! I gave her a small amount of de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.4 @ 76deg. and placed a clear Solo cup over her. I have another Banana Kush that I placed in a wet paper towel yesterday. I checked it today and the seed has popped. I went ahead and filled a 2 1/2g plastic pot with Fox Farms Happy Frog medium. I placed it in the 4x4 directly on a drip saucer (no pot riser) to allow me to water her from the bottom if I choose and watered the pot to get the medium ready for a seed.
2/27- Well the #1 is on Day Two and looking strong. I don't foresee any issues with her as long as her daily watering's are given properly (not too much or too little), and temps and RH remain dialed in. The #2 pheno seed in the wet paper towel popped and had a 1/16" root tip exposed so into the 2 1/2g pot of Happy Frog she went. I planted her to about twice her width, point down, lightly covered her up and watered her in with about 1oz. of de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 and placed a clear Solo cup over her. I'm hoping to see the #2 pheno break ground sometime tomorrow! 😎
2/28- Well Day Three for the #1 pheno has come and gone. This morning we woke to find that the #1 pheno had a new sister! The #2 pheno that was germinated in the wet paper towel, then planted last night, broke ground this morning! I've upped the daily watering amounts for the older pheno #1, soaking the entire surface area of her 10g pot. Previously, I was just watering in the immediate 6" diameter area around the seedling. Now I want to make sure that the medium is moist throughout the pots to enable the explosive root growth that I'm hoping for courtesy of Great White root stimulator. They're still getting straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 74-78 deg. and will continue to do so throughout the run with the exception of weekly Compost Tea's as this run is 100% organic using pre-amended medium and only getting top dressed through the run every 3-4 weeks. In the next few days I'll start increasing the #2 pheno's water as well but for now she'll get just enough around her to keep her moist while she gets herself together!
3/2- Both girls are up and doing great! I'm watering both girls twice daily with de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 74-76deg. 200ppm. Today I added 2.5ml/g of Botanicare CalMag+ to their watering. I'm using a pump sprayer with a hose and wand attached that has a fine spray head on it now. When I water I am just giving enough right now to keep the soil moist, not wet, in the upper half of their pots as their roots haven't developed and penetrated to that point yet. As they mature and their root systems develop into the monsters I hope for, I'll increase the amount of water they receive to ensure that the microbial colony thrives. Tent temp's are maintaining 78-80deg during the light cycle and 72-74deg for their 5 hour dark period. RH in the 4x4 range from 47-55% and the co2 level from 460-530ppm. I've got the SunSystems 315 LEC hung all the way up @ 46" now but will be slowly dropping it as the girls get bigger and can tolerate the additional intensity without getting stressed.
3/4- Week one of Germination is done...thank goodness! Now things will start getting busy and the stress level will drop as both girls are healthy and growing stronger by the day! I'm still watering both girls twice daily with de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 74-76deg. 200ppm. Today I added 2.5ml/g of Alaskan Fish Extract to their watering which brought it up to 400ppm's.
Thanks for hanging in for this week! Things should be getting a lot more interesting in the coming weeks...Stay tuned and Stay Blessed! 😎🙏

3/5- Hooray...Week One of veg is here!😎👍
Both of the Kushman Banana Kush's are healthy and starting to pick up their growth!
Currently, the HLG 650R's are hung @42' and pulling 300w at the wall each which the girls appear to be digging! 😍
The #1 pheno is in the process of sprouting her third 'true' set of leaves which will have five 'fingers' on them, while the #2 is on her second set.
I went ahead and added 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel to their water which was de-chlorinated and ph'd to 6.4 @ 76deg. 400ppm. I'm using the pump sprayer with the spray head set to a fairly fine cone. I'm giving them .25g twice a day keeping the medium moist all the way through to the bottom of the medium (I will begin foliar feeding tomorrow morning just as the lights come on with Fox Farms Flower Kiss @ 2.5ml/g applied with a spray bottle).
I've found that if the roots encounter 'dry' medium it rapidly pisses off cannabis cultivars, ESPECIALLY autoflowers, so we're not going to explore that scenario....we're staying moist, not wet! 😁
I anticipate, based on their current rate of growth, that they'll really be taking off going into the latter part of week two going into week three. I'd really like to see these girls veg for at least 30-40 days before starting to flower, which will result in some huge cultivars, but we'll have to see what happens won't we?😎🙏
3/7- Well, Week One of veg is here and gone and both of the Banana Kush girl's are loving life!
Both girls have great color and the #2 pheno, even though two days behind her sister, is quickly catching up to her sibling, who's @ 3" in height.
I've added nightly foliar feeding to their schedule and they are loving it! Their water intake continues @ 0.5g of de-chlorinated well water daily which is ph'd to 6.4-6.5 @ 74deg. after any additives (Fox Farm Wholly Mackerel, Botanicare CalMag+) are mixed in using either Alchemist PH Down or General Hydroponics PH Up which are diluted in 2 cups of water before being added to the remaining water.
This dilution before addition prevents any chemical reaction that might occur from adding the PH Up/PH Down straight into the water that has nutrients in it, which would possibly have negative affects on the plants. If their growth continues through next week, as I'm anticipating, I will most likely begin LST at least on the #1 phenotype.
😎🙏 Thank you for tagging along so far! Things should be getting more interesting as the coming weeks approach! I'm excited...are you? See you next week! 😎👍

Well here we go into Week Two of Veg! 👏😎 With two weeks of initial growth behind them now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Banana Kush Auto's are doing great! They're up to 3" and sprouting their 4th & 5th sets of leaves which means if they keeps their growth up, LST will start soon for these girls!
Thank you for following along this journey with me! Growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏
~Grown 100% organic in a 10g fabric pot with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium amended with 2tbs/g Down To Earth 4-4-4 / 2 cups/g Earthworm Castings / 1tbs/g Dr. Earth Flower Girl 2-8-4 and 1tbs/g Dr. Earth Bat Guano.
~24hr light cycle during germination / 19/5 light cycle for Veg & Flower
~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed, top dressed every 3-4 weeks and weekly Compost Tea's.
~Week Two of Vegetation~
3/8- Both of the Banana Kush girl's are rocking and rolling! I did transplant the #1 pheno from the 5g fabric pot she was in to a 10g one, then moved her from the 4x4 to the 4x8 tent with her sister who was already in a 10g fabric pot. Because of the transplant I anticipate that she'll experience a little shock which will take her a day or two to rebound from but she'll do just fine with a lot of TLC! The #2 pheno continues her growth and is sprouting her third set of leaves which will have five fingers. By weeks end she'll begin LST.
I'm continuing to water twice daily with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water that is ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 74 degrees with an EC of 0.2-0.4. Every other day I'm adding 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel and twice weekly adding 3ml/g of Botanicare CalMag+. Tomorrow they'll be getting their first Compost Tea {Wiggle Worm Castings/Alfalfa Meal/Kelp Meal/Unsulfured Molasses and a small amount of Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 dry amendment and 1 scoop of Great White Mycorrhiza} that I started yesterday, which they'll each receive 0.5g of... They should love it!😍 I am also continuing to give them both nightly Foliar feedings via spray bottle just before their dark period with Fox Farms Flower Kiss which they are digging!
The biggest challenge when growing indoors organically with 10g pots is providing just the right amount of water as you want the medium throughout the ENTIRE pot to be moist (not wet) to give the root system every opportunity to spread throughout the medium all the way to the sides and bottom (or close to it). That said, keeping up with adequate watering is a challenge, but extremely essential for optimal plant growth.
With a 10g pot FILLED with a root mass you WILL get enormous results provided all other factors are kept on point....and that's the KEY! Perfect environmental conditions, proper feeding and watering, good genetics and a HUGE root system (1200ppm's of additional co2 helps a bunch too!) = Monster Cannabis!💪😎
3/10- The girls received their first Compost Tea yesterday and it looks like they loved it! (knew they would...lol!). They each got approx. 1/2g of tea fed to them gradually to allow the medium to absorb the tea.
I also began LST on both girl's to get a handle on them before they get away from me as their growth is really beginning to take off! I anticipate that the #2 phenotype, even being a few days behind, will end up being the taller of the two...maybe.😏
Both girl's have great color and vigor, temp's in the Gorilla 4x8 are running 72-80 degrees with a 45-50% RH which is GTG for them right now. 😎👍
3/12- Well the girl's are 13 & 15 Days old today! Both girl's are really on a growth spurt, with the #1 phenotype approaching 4" tall, and increasing size daily. It seems as you can almost watch them grow bigger every day...crazy!
They both continue to receive nightly foliar feeding with Fox Farms Flower Kiss mixed @ 5ml/g and applied just before the 5 hour dark period. Daily watering's continue with de-chlorinated water to which I've now added 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel to and then ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 72deg. with a 0.4 EC which, when I water I soak the pots thoroughly, but not to the point of runoff. Twice a week when I water I will water just from the bottom of the pots to let the plants draw up the liquid into their pots to ensure that the medium is moist throughout for those roots to grow into!
I have begun LST on the #1 phenotype based on her structure and how she was growing. I also topped the #1 pheno today to achieve a bushier plant.
The HLG 650R is still hung at 40" above canopy above them and still set to 300w at the wall.. Next week I will be lowering the light down to 38" and increase the wattage to 350W at the wall.
Tent temperatures are a steady 80.1 degrees thanks to my AC Infinity Cloudline T6 w/Controller, connected to a 6x24" Terrabloom carbon filter which has the capability to vary the fan speed automatically to keep tent temperatures constant....Works like a charm! 😎👍 RH in the Gorilla 4x8 is 45-50% and all fans are running now as well as the IdealAir 14k BTU A/C unit pumping in cool air.
3/14- Well there goes another week behind us on this journey to dank, sticky buds! Both pheno's are doing fantastic and putting out new growth daily! They've got incredible vigor and color...just gorgeous!
The #1 pheno who's two days ahead of her sister has really reacted well to her LST and has multiple branches all reaching up to the light! She is really going to be impressive! The #2 pheno is going to be a spitting image of her sister. They both have similar structure, node spacing and visually look alike!
Both of these girls are really beginning to impress me with their phenomenal growth. I can only hope that they hold off pre-flower for a couple more weeks so they can really put on some growth!
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey through the next weeks as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~

Well here we go into Week Three of Veg! 👏😎 With three weeks of initial growth behind them now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Kyle Kushman Banana Kush Auto's are doing great and sprouting new growth everyday. They're both exceptional specimens of the strain. It'll be exciting to see them develop, thank you for following along this journey with me. 3/15- Week Three of veg....now things will get interesting fast with the phenomenal growth that both these girl's are exhibiting!
I must say these Kyle Kushman Banana Kush Auto's continue to really impress me with their rate of growth, vigor and overall ease of growing. They take everything you can throw at them and ask politely for more whether it be LST, water or nutrients, they take all in stride without complaint!
They both continue to receive nightly foliar feeding with Fox Farms Flower Kiss mixed @ 5ml/g and applied just before the 5 hour dark period. Daily watering's continue with de-chlorinated water to which I'm now alternating adding 5ml/g of Fox Farms Wholly Mackerel to for a feed and then switching to Fox Farms Microbe Brew @ 5ml/g and Fox Farms Big Bloom (OMRI organic) @ 10ml/g then each is ph'd to 6.4-6.6 @ 72deg. with a 0.4 EC 350-400ppm.
I'll be top dressing them later this week with their first organic dry amendments. I'll be giving them a 60/40 mix of 4-4-4 and 3-9-4 @ 2 tbsp. per gallon of medium worked in by hand, then watered in. This should really give them a much needed boost for their stretch!
When I water I soak the pots thoroughly, but not to the point of runoff. Twice a week when I water I add water to the trays under the pots to let the plants draw up the liquid into their pots to ensure that the medium is moist throughout for those roots to grow into! 😍
3/17- Both girl's are doing fantastic with the #1 phenotype approaching 6" in height and #2 not far behind!
They both received a heavy watering yesterday in two portions. First, at the start of the light cycle, I gave each .5 gallon de-chlorinated water with 5ml/g Botanicare CalMag+ and 5ml/g Botanicare Silica Blast added and then ph'd to 6.5 @72 degrees using Alchemist PH Down to make the adjustment. This watering was given through the bottom of their pots by filling their drip pans and letting the fabric pots draw up the liquid into them, giving the medium in the lower half of the pots much needed moisture for the growing root systems. The second watering at mid-day was given through the top of the pots via pump sprayer which was filled with the identical solution used to water earlier and each received .25g each.
Foliar feedings continue 4-5 nights a week and they both have a noticeable improvement in their overall appearance as a result of the foliar feedings.
I have the HLG 650R cranked up to 400w at the wall now and still hung @ 40" above canopy which resulted in the tent temp's rising slightly requiring the IdealAir AC unit's thermostat to be lowered to compensate.
I have the AC Infinity Cloudline T6 fan with Controller set on 'Auto Hi Temp' with it set to 79 degrees. It's been doing fantastic, adjusting the fans speed automatically, keeping tent temperatures no higher than 80.1 degrees with a RH of 55%. The AutoPilot co2 Controller is now set to a 900ppm setpoint, with a 100ppm window setpoint which has the co2 levels running 800-1000ppm's in the Gorilla 4x8.
At this point I'm just maintaining their water and training daily, watching their rapid growth and anxiously awaiting signs of pre-flower which I hope will not be too soon allowing them to gain size! How much FUN this is! 😍
3/19- I water heavy yesterday and when I checked the girl's this morning their pots were still fairly heavy so I skipped the AM watering. I'll wait until the afternoon, check them again, and water then if necessary.
They both are extremely vigorous and have a rich green color. The node spacing on both is looking great as is their overall development.
I'll wait a few more days before top dressing them as they are looking really healthy and I don't want to overload the medium with unnecessary nutrients.
When I do top dress, I'll use a total of 2 tbsp. per gallon of medium of a 60/40 mix of Dr. Earth Premium 4-4-4 and Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4, spread into the pots and worked in by hand. Afterwards, I water it in with straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5.
3/21- I decided to go ahead and top dress both girls with organic dry amendments today.
I used Dr. Earth Premium 4-4-4 and Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 @ 2 tbsp. per gallon of medium, with a ratio of 43%/57% respectively, which I spread around in their pots and then worked it into the top layer of medium by hand. After working it in, I watered it in thoroughly with .75g of de-chlorinated water with 5ml/g of Fox Farms Microbe Brew added to further inoculate the medium with beneficial bacteria and mycorrhiza which should really give a boost to my ladies as they get ready to go into pre-flower.
Well here we go with Week Three of veg behind us and now there's nothing but excitement from here on out!.
Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with the girls starting pre-flower... Grow Strong! 😎🙏

Well here we go into Week Four of Veg! 👏😎 With four weeks of initial growth behind them now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Kyle Kushman Banana Kush Auto's are doing great and sprouting new growth everyday. 3/22- Well Week For of veg is here and the girls are going though some changes now with the #1 going into pre-flower and the #2 not far behind. I'm thankful that I decided to top dress them yesterday as the dry amendments are slow release which will start providing nutrients right at the time when they'll need it the most!
After their heavy watering in of their top dress yesterday their pots were still HEAVY so I'm not watering today to give the pots an opportunity to dry out some.
The Gorilla 4x8 temp's are running in the mid 70's during the light cycle and drop to the upper 60's when the HLG 650R (which is pulling 400w at the wall now) is off. RH is currently at 50-55% to try and keep the VPD numbers in a decent range.
3/24- I'm spending most of my time with them now gently training their branches, stressing them as little as possible, removing a leaf here & there that's blocking light penetration into the canopy and watering, as they're both into pre-flower and more or less on auto-pilot.
I checked the moisture level of their pots this morning, they were moist in the upper 2/3 but dry in the bottom. I watered both from the bottom giving them 0.5g of de-chlorinated water each with 0.25ml/g of Fox Farms Microbe Brew which was ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees F with a 0.4 EC 200ppm pouring it into their drip trays letting their pots draw in the water they need, which they did in about 5 minutes.
I'm not supplying a ton of nutrients via the water as I just top-dressed them and they'll be getting everything they need from that and what the microbial colony provides. I'll add some Wiggle Worm castings to their mediums at the end of the week to give them an organic boost in their butts!
3/26- I checked the moisture level of their pots this morning, they were moist in the upper 2/3 but dry in the bottom.

3/28- So long Week 4! OMG...both girls are absolutely phenomenal specimens with gorgeous color, structure and growth rate they're hard to beat! Both the #1 and #2 pheno's, which are 3 days apart, are at 14" or close to it and their health is picture perfect!
Both girl's are in full pre-flower and are stretching fast! When I train their branches down their recovery time is phenomenal, looking like I never touched them 2 hours later!
Daily watering continues with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC given to each in the morning. Foliar feeding before lights out continues every other night.
Their water intake has increased slightly and I've been dividing their watering to twice daily to keep up with their needs.
I spend the majority of my time 'tucking & plucking' leaves and making sure the environment stays as close to on point as possible.
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with the girls starting pre-flower... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~

3/29- These are some BEAUTIFUL girls! They are both extremely healthy, vigorous and I could just sit and watch them all day!
Both girl's now are flowering and are looking to be some really nice examples of the strain from the Homegrown Cannabis Company / Kyle Kushman.
Daily watering continues with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC given to them first thing in the morning after the light comes on. Foliar feeding before lights out continues 3 nights a week now.
3/31- Watered both girls this morning with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC
The HLG 650R is now pulling 450w at the wall and remains 38" above canopy. Temperatures, RH and VPD all are gtg and on point with 'daytime' temps at a constant 76 degrees @ 50% RH, dropping to 65 degrees during the dark period.
4/2- I'm letting the plants tell me what they need now. I'm closely monitoring them, watering when they show signs of needing it (leaves JUST starting to droop) and nutrients (when their color Just starts to be not as vibrant). Right now they're both doing phenomenally!
When I water them it is with 0.75g straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 200ppm 0.4 EC and I'm watering through the top, taking time to allow the medium to slowly absorb it to avoid runoff.
This weekend I will top dress each with 2 cups of Wiggle Worm Castings and then water it in. When I water in the castings I'll add 2 tbsp. per gallon of Grandma's Unsulfured Molasses to the water which will supercharge the microbes!
4/4- I top dressed both Banana Kush Auto's with 2 cups of Wiggle Worm castings and watered it in with 0.50g straight de-chlorinated water to which I added 1/4 tsp/g of Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 degrees 400ppm 0.8 EC
This morning the girls looked absolutely VIBRANT and are popping flowers out everywhere! They must have really enjoyed the PK boost from yesterday huh?! Both girls mediums were still fairly moist so I held off with the AM watering and will take a look at them this afternoon and see what they tell me!
Well it's really been a great week, the girl's are both healthy and doing fantastic, stacking flower! Next week promises to be just as, if not more, exciting so stay tuned for all the action! 😍
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with the girls into flower now... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~

Well here we go into Week 2 of flower! 👏😎 With six weeks of initial growth behind them now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Kyle Kushman Banana Kush Auto's continue doing great and are stacking their flowers and getting fuller everyday. They are now both in flower and are looking very special! They're both exceptional specimens of the strain and it'll be exciting to see them go through flower with you. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏
~Grown 100% organic in a 10g fabric pot with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium amended with 2tbs/g Down To Earth 4-4-4 / 2 cups/g Earthworm Castings / 1tbs/g Dr. Earth Flower Girl 2-8-4 and 1tbs/g Dr. Earth Bat Guano.
~24hr light cycle during germination / 19/5 light cycle for Veg & Flower
~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed, top dressed every 3-4 weeks and weekly Compost Tea's.
4/5- Week 2 of flower and both girl's are happy, healthy and stacking flowers! Both BK's are still stretching a bit and are fairly tall at 18" for the #1 and 19" on the #2 BK, both having great node spacing and a ton of flower sites all over them!
I've switched up their feeding slightly with the addition of Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz and Open Sesame which are given alternately three days a week. In addition, I'm now supplementing their water once a week each with Unsulfured Molasses and Honey @ 2 tbsp/g and 2 tsp/g respectively. The Molasses gives a boost to the microbial colony as well as being loaded with essential minerals and micro-nutrients that the plants love. The Honey really promotes healthy root systems and is a natural anti-bacterial which I've used for decades with tremendous success!
I now have the HLG 650R pulling 520w at the wall and will wait to give them max power when I start adding UVA more than likely by the end of this week. Adding UVA for 4 hours in the middle of the light cycle for the last 2-3 weeks of flower really turns on the trichome production and, although I can't prove it yet, has possible positive effects on the terpenes as well.
Environmentally, the 'daytime' temp's are a steady 77.4 degrees F and drop to 65 degrees F during the 'nighttime'. The RH is staying around 42-46% which I'd like to be higher to lower the VPD but as the girls both appear healthy and happy I'll let it ride! I also put the risers back under both of their pots to ensure that the bottom of the fabric pot gets adequate airflow preventing a possible anaerobic condition from the roots not getting any oxygen, therefore killing them (it only takes 20 minutes of oxygen deprivation to kill cannabis roots! Keep this in mind when watering...don't drown your roots!). 😎👍
4/7- I checked their pots this morning and they were still fairly heavy and the bottoms were still wet so I skipped watering today.
They're both looking MARVELOUS with BOTH phenotypes closely resembling each other...how cool is that!? Both ladies are super healthy and in flower. They're only three days apart and might as well be twins with both measuring in @ 20" with nearly identical structure, node spacing and flower sites.
I really don't have to do anything to either of these ladies at this point, other than water/feed and I turn both girl's pots 1/4 turn each day to give the entire plants plenty of light as they're on autopilot!
4/9- Well this weeks almost in the books and both Homegrown Cannabis Companies Banana Kush Auto ladies are looking absolutely FABULOUS!!! 😍 They both are shaping up to be a HEAVY yielders as their size, structure and the multitude of flower sites tell the tale! The key will be keeping them thinned out enough to keep the light penetrating down deep into their canopy's so all those bud sites get PLENTY of love from above!
All I'm doing at this point is making sure they're watered, fed and turning their pots 1/4 turn twice daily. They are starting out flowering strong and are both stacking their flowers.
Trichome production should begin soon and as they progress in flower I'll start supplementing them with UVA light for 4 hours a day in the middle of the 19 hour light cycle which will really boost the trichomes!
Both of these ladies are so east to cultivate with their structure and node spacing, light penetration isn't an issue and they have tolerated everything thrown at them with a smile...I really LOVE this strain from Kyle Kushman and the Homegrown Cannabis Company !😍
4/11- I defoliated both ladies this morning as they both had way too much growth that was really blocking the light penetration down into the canopy...now they're gtg!
Both were watered with 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz added @ 0.5 tsp/g and then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg.
Well, there goes this week...next week promises to have some noticeable flower development happening with both girl's going into their third week of flower!
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the next weeks approach with the girls into flower now... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~

Well here we go into Week 3 of flower! 👏😎 With seven weeks of initial growth behind them now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Kyle Kushman Banana Kush Auto's continue doing great and are stacking their flowers and getting fuller everyday. They are now both in flower and are looking very special! They're both exceptional specimens of the strain and it'll be exciting to see them go through flower with you. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏

4/12- Well the third week of flower is here and these girls are getting their groove on! Both are producing some beautiful flowers with beautiful snow white stamens that contrast against the green...so pretty!
Both were watered with 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Open Sesame added @ 0.5 tsp/g and Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC.
I'm continuing with the daily routine of making sure they're watered, fed and turning their pots 1/4 turn twice daily to expose as much of them to as much light as possible!
4/14- I solved the temperature issue in the tent! I determined that my 4x4 did not really require any supplemental cooling and I wasn't happy with the amount of airflow coming from the IdealAir 14k btu portable A/C unit I use to cool the tents.
So I disconnected all of the ducting hoses from the A/C and removed them from the tent. Then, I cut a 5 7/8" circular hole in the right side door of the 4x8 and placed the A/C unit facing the tent. I fabricated an air collector from sheet metal that grabs all the cool air coming out of the front of the unit and puts it through a circular 6" short extension tube which I inserted into the hole I made in the tent door.
This puts ALL of the cool air directly into the 4x8 where it's circulated by the two 18" Hurricane fans and two 6" clip-on fans which now has temperatures running 78-79 deg. max with the HLG 650R's at max power pulling 660w at the wall each...I'm so relieved to get this issue under control with flowering occurring so that I can keep temp's in the ideal range to aide in trichome production and getting that beautiful fade and coloration as they finish!
My girl's recieved their usual watering of 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Open Sesame added @ 0.5 tsp/g and Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC which they are doing very well on, showing no signs of any issues.
Their color, vigor and overall health remain consistently on point and both pheno's are going crazy stacking their beautiful flowers!
4/16- Yesterday was a 'dry' day as their 10g fabric pots were still pretty heavy, so I continued with the daily routine of checking the moisture level of the medium's, feeding when needed and turning their pots 1/4 turn twice daily to expose as much of them to as much light as possible!
Today they each recieved 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Open Sesame added @ 0.5 tsp/g and Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC. I also removed a dozen or so shade leaves out of the inside on each to keep that light penetration happining!
4/18- Week Three of flower is behind us now and may the coming weeks be FILLED with beautiful buds! 😍
Watering continued today with 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg.
Both are looking fabulous and have a plethora of flowers on them with the #1 pheno's buds, being further along by a couple of days, are a bit thicker and denser with some beautiful contrasts of greens, white and reddish-amber. The #2 phenotype is very close in appearance to her sister and only two days apart from her but her flowers definitely have a different appearance with more snow white stamens covering her flowers, unlike her sister whose flowers stamens had a yellowish tinge to them turning a reddish/amber as they mature and die.
It's been a great week for these girls and I foresee an epic fourth week coming up! Be sure to check in on their progress as things really get heated up! 💥
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the flowering gets more intense... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~

Well here we go into Week four of flower! 👏😎 With eight weeks of initial growth behind them now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Kyle Kushman Banana Kush Auto's continue doing great and are stacking their flowers and getting fuller everyday. They are now both in flower and are looking very special! They're both exceptional specimens of the strain and it'll be exciting to see them go through flower with you. 4/19- Week FOUR of flower's here and man-o-man is these girls are looking SWEET!
I watered them with 0.75g of dechlorinated water with Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz added @ 0.75 tsp/g and raw honey @ 1 tbsp/g, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC.
Now this strain is supposed to be a 56-63 day cultivar but I'm a betting man and I say there's no way either of these fine ladies pushing 58 days are close to finishing! I've been giving them 4hrs/day of supplemental UVA during the middle of their 19/5 cycle and I'll be switching them to Fox Farms Cha Ching on their feeding very soon.
Now, these girl's are basically on autopilot and all I'm doing is making sure they're watered, fed, has their pots turned daily and I'll probably remove some foliage from the #2 pheno as she's the BUSHY one!...that's it, easy peasy lemon squeezy!
~💚HAPPY 420 EVERYONE!!!💚~ Have a happy and lifted day!...and don't forget to 'pay it forward' 😎🙏
4/21- The Banana Kush ladies are rolling and continue to stack their flowers forming some beautiful cola's and they have an intoxicating aroma of berries coming off them!
I watered/fed them with their usual 0.75g of dechlorinated water to which I've now switched to and added, Fox Farms Cha Ching @ 0.75 tsp/g, and 0.5 tsp/g of raw honey, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. I also gave their pots a 1/4 turn and removed a dozen or so leaves from the #2 phenotype to keep her opened up to the light.
4/23- Today they recieved .75g of de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz @ 0.75 tsp/g, Fox Farms Microbe Brew @ 0.5 tsp/g and Fox Farms Kelp Me Kelp You @ 0.5 tsp/g which with my starting ph of 7.4, brings the ph to a perfect 6.5! Gotta love it when you don't have to adjust the final ph...awesome! I also rotated their 10g fabric pots 1/4 turn each.
The #1 phenotype at 57 days from seed is on her way. This is a 56-70 day strain and I see her finishing up somewhere in-between the two. The #2 pheno is only a couple of days behind her sister but I think she'll more than likely go towards the higher end of the suggested grow time.
4/25- With 60+/- days of growth and four weeks of flowering behind them, these 8-10 week cultivars are coming around the 'final eighth pole' my friends and and will be finishing up soon with the #1 pheno being the furthest along. The #1 phenotype, although only two days older than her sister, is markedly more mature with her pistils dying off and turning orange and her calyx's developing beautiful shades of pink and purple! I'll only be giving her straight de-chlorinated water from here on out till harvest to finish flushing her.
The #2 pheno is basically a twin of her older sister, the only difference being that she'll be under the light for a week or so longer than 'big sis'. Both pheno's are sporting rather small leaves with narrow blades and have, what I'd call moderate node spacing. They didn't really require any defoliation as light penetration was never an issue with this ladies!
Environmentally, the tent temperatures are maxing out during the light cycle at 79 deg. and I'm running them down to the mid 50's during the 5 hour dark period, which really helps with bringing out the gorgeous colors in some strains! The HLG 650R is running at max, pulling 660w at the wall and remains @ 34" above the canopy.
Today I watered the #2 phenotype with 0.75g of de-chlorinated water to which I've added, Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz @ 0.75 tsp/g, and 0.5 tsp/g of raw honey, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 72 deg. 1.2 EC, I also gave her pot a 1/4 turn. The #1 recieved the same amount with the exception of only having Fox Farms Sledgehammer added @ 2 tsp/g to finish her flush which I've already begun and her pot was also turned.
Well, onward to Week Nine from seed and Week Five of flower where things are gonna be heating up in the tent with the #1 finishing up and the #2 bulking up! 💪 Be sure to check in on their progress❣️❤️

Well here we go into Week five of flower! 👏😎 With nine weeks of initial growth behind them now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Kyle Kushman Banana Kush Auto's continue doing great and are stacking their flowers and getting fuller everyday. The #1 pheno is just about ready and the #2's looking very special! They're both exceptional specimens of the strain and it'll be exciting to see them go through flower with you. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed, top dressed every 3-4 weeks and weekly Compost Tea's.
4/26- Today they recieved .75g of de-chlorinated water each with the #2 getting Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz @ 0.75 tsp/g and 1 tsp/g of raw honey which was then ph'd to 6.4 @ 71 deg., the #1 receiving just straight de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Sledgehammer @ 2 tsp/g which was then ph'd to 6.7 @ 71 deg.
My golly the #1 phenotype really looks phenomenal with hues of pink and purple showing at the tips of her rock hard flowers. I checked her trichomes and she's just about done. I'll be putting her in the dark for 2-3 days very soon!
The temp's are a constant 78 deg. during the light cycle and I'm running them down into the upper 50's during the 5 hour dark period. The RH is at 44% which is perfect right now as I have abundant air circulation in the Gorilla 4x8 with two 18" Hurricane fans, two 6" clip-on fans and one 10" floor mounted fan constantly moving the air. The HLG 650R is at max pulling 660w at the wall and it's currently at 32" above her canopy. Lastly, the co2 level in the tent, via a 50# tank and AutoPilot co2 controller, is running a constant 900ppm's during the light cycle.
4-28- I checked their pots this morning and they're still pretty heavy so we'll let them ride on watering for now. I'll check both later, so for now I'll just take a some pic's of them and give their pots a spin.
4/30- With the #1 phenotype in the dark the #2 is thoroughly enjoying her time alone under the HLG 650R! Today I fed her heavy with .75g of de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz @ 0.75 tsp/g, Fox Farms Tiger Bloom @ 2 tsp/g. Fox Farms Big Bloom @ 1 tbsp/g and Fox Farms Bembe @ 1 tbsp/g added, then ph'd to 6.5 @ 71℉. I also gave her pot a 1/4 turn.
5/2- Today I took the #1 phenotype out of 'dark jail' where she spent 96 hours due to me being tied up harvesting another of my tents. I shot some pic's of her and then chopped her at her base. I went ahead and hung her whole in my now empty 4x4. My Drying Room is currently full so I'm doing the best that I can to keep the conditions in the 4x4 in a decent range. The temp's in the tent are in the mid 70℉ range and the RH is @ 45% (I'm running a humidifier in the tent along with a small fan on the floor to circulate the air) which I'd prefer to be higher (thus the reason for hanging whole - slow down the drying)to prevent the plant from drying too fast. She should be ready in 10 days or so!
The # 2 pheno which was like a twin to her sister in appearance, now has become a monster! She's developed huge thick cola's that are swaying in the breeze created by the fans. She's smelling super funky with an earthy, Kush aroma that's incredible and her flowers are beginning to get some purple hues showing up, which I was hoping to see!
She was heavy to the lift today so I let her ride on her watering for a day. Onward to next week where she'll be getting close to finishing up!
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the excitement builds... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~

Well here we go into the Sixth Week of flower! 👏😎 With ten weeks of initial growth behind her now, the Homegrown Cannabis Company's Kyle Kushman Banana Kush #2 Auto continues doing great, is stacking her flowers and getting fuller everyday. The #1 pheno is now hanging in the Drying Room and should be ready to trim in another 5-7 days. These are both exceptional specimens of the strain and it's been exciting to see them go through flower with you. Thank you for following along this journey with me, growing these beautiful cultivars is always better with someone to share the experience with....come along and enjoy! 😎🙏

5/3- Here we go Week TEN...The #2 phenotype is packed, stacked and ready to attack!...almost. She has some huge cola's that are so sticky with a thick coating of trichomes! She smells very earthy with a subtle sweet undertone! I'm checking her trichomes daily and she does not have far to go!
The #1 phenotype is hanging in the Drying Room which is @ 74℉ with a 50% RH. The temperature's a little higher than I like it but by keeping the RH on point I'm hoping it won't be an issue (drying too fast).
Today the #2 was watered and fed with 1g of de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Cha Ching @ 0.5 tsp/g, Fox Farms Big Bloom @ 3 tsp/g, Fox Farms Tiger Bloom @ 2 tsp/g and Fox Farms Bembe @ 3 tsp/g. I then ph'd to 6.5 @ 1.4 EC
5/5- Yesterday was a dry out day after her heavy water/feed the previous day. Today I watered/fed her with 1g of de-chlorinated water with Fox Farms Cha Ching @ 0.5 tsp/g, Fox Farms Big Bloom @ 3 tsp/g, Fox Farms Tiger Bloom @ 2 tsp/g and Fox Farms Bembe @ 3 tsp/g. I then ph'd to 6.5 @ 1.4 EC. I'll be transitioning her to straight water with Fox Farms Sledgehammer added to flush her in the next day or two.
The #2 phenotype is going nuts stacking her flowers, which are humongous and the trichomes are 90% cloudy/'plastic looking' and should be turning more 'milky' looking in the next few days which is when I'll make my move and put her in the dark for 48-72 hours before hanging her.
I'm turning her pot 1/4 turn daily and she's getting 4 hours a day of supplemental UVA via the HLG 650R's additional UV Bar I added to it which is currently at 32" above canopy.
'Daytime tent temp's in the Gorilla 4x8 are running 77℉ and down to 58℉ while the light is off. RH is steady @ 50-55% and the co2 levels at canopy height are running 700-1000ppm's.
5/7- I have her on full flush now as she's about a week from being finish. Yesterday and today she recieved 0.75g of de-chlorinated water with 2 tsp/g of Fox Farms Sledgehammer added, then ph'd to 6.7 @ 70℉ 0.6 EC
I'm continuing to turn her pot 1/4 turn daily and also checking her trichomes, of which about 70% have nice milky looking heads and the rest are either translucent or clear.
Three or four more days and she'll be ready to go dark for 2-3 days (depending on my schedule with other harvests) after which she'll be hung whole for 12-15 days to dry slowly before being trimmed and placed in jars to cure for 2-3 months.
5/9- The flush continued today after a day to dry out yesterday. I gave her 0.75g of de-chlorinated water with 2 tsp/g of Fox Farms Sledgehammer added, then ph'd to 6.7 @ 70℉ 0.6 EC.
She is so close to being ready and I'm checking her trichomes every day to find that perfect time to pull her...Patience is one of, if not the, hardest things when it comes to when to harvest!
5/10- I checked her trichomes today and decided it was time for her to go dark for a couple of days!
My next entry will be for the harvest, she'll be getting hung to dry and then we'll see how much of her stickiness I end up with so stay tuned!
~Thank you so much for following along so far! I hope you'll continue to follow my journey as things will be getting more exciting as the excitement builds with the last Banana Kush finishing up... Grow Strong! 😎🙏~

"Homegrown Cannabis Co.'s Banana Kush Auto seeds come from a carefully selected mother plant – one that's been fully stabilized after having undergone years of selective breeding.
Germinating these seeds is straightforward using the wet paper towel method, and the taproots usually appear after one day. Unlike with photoperiods, it's best to place the seedlings straight into their final containers – 8- to 10-liter pots are ideal.
The plant is short and compact and rarely exceeds 3.5 feet tall. Although it thrives in all kinds of environments, Banana Kush Auto is more convenient to grow indoors because of its susceptibility to moisture-related diseases such as mold. A controlled setting allows you to make adjustments to temperature and humidity levels, significantly lowering the risk.
A Sea of Green setup brings out the best in this plant. The technique maximizes light distribution and use of space by coaxing a single upper cola over multiple plants in a designated area. At harvest, it usually produces at least 1.63 ounces of buds per square foot.
You can grow Banana Kush Auto outdoors in a dry and sunny location. In optimal conditions, it can be grown at pretty much any time of year, although growers in the northern hemisphere may find that it works best between April and October. If all goes well, you could get your hands on at least 4 to 7 ounces of buds per plant, 8 - 9 weeks from the time of germination."
