Started seed in cup of water and then placed seed in rapid rooter after 24 hrs. I dropped seed in upside down and needed to help this girl. Stem grew and kind of wrapped around itself. I grow in RO water which I run through a DI unit. Water comes out at 0 ppm so added just a splash of calmag and pH to 6
Week 3 from germination. finally some quick growth. Has some clawing but she is drinking lots of water! I will be LST getting plant ready for scrog
This plant is being grown in a GH power grower with GH Nutes. I am using drip clean to keep my equipment free from salt build up I am also growing with a 3100 k bulb in a 315w sun system. Fan in tent to circulate air and a 6” exhaust. I am very impressed with the size and stature of this plant . The leaves are getting huge and needed to pluck a few. Stock of plant is nearly an inch. This is the most vigorous plant I have grown. Definitely loving the Female seeds third strain I have grown and and had really great success with red purps and bbxww
Really rapid growth now. Plant is drinking about a gallon of water a day! The vigor of this strain is outstanding fastest growth I have ever had. I set up a screen to scrog this plant . I just bent the top down so I can expose the undergrowth. The plant structure and leaves are very large and strong. I have almost got rid of the nitrogen toxicity I am planning to veg her for another week or two depending growth. I am going to remove some leaves to expose more shoots from the plant and also start thinking about lolllipopping her and super cropping her
This is my first time not toping my plant and am focusing on LST in by just tucking the top under my screen. Has anyone else done this and what were your results.
I personally don't top, but I do know that tucking them under the screen( LST or Scrog) is what everyone does when doing training techniques, it works great to create a wide canopy without causing stress to the plant. So your perfectly fine tucking the leaves under the screen.
Still have really quick growth. Plant is spreading out nicely. Began to do light defoliation and a little lollipop. Gonna let her go for one more week and then flip to flower. The stock on this plant and leaves are growing incredibly large. The stock of this plant would be the equivalent of a 1” pipe give or take!
I just flipped to flower today and gave a reservoir change . I broke the top off the plant accidentally earlier last week so I gave her a few days to recover . I am not going to defoliate for a week or so to let her continue the recovery and get used to the light cycle. I added some big bud powder to aid in the early flower production. And have started to lower the N in the overall plant, I am using half the recommended dose of micro to achieve this. I also halved most of the other products to help her ease into the initial change.
A little late on the update. So res change as usual but this week I am adding some more green planet products to the recipe. I am a huge fan of these products! This and Remo are my go to nutrients , anyway I digress. So major stretch is happening in this plant currently. She is looking very healthy maybe a little to green which is why I backed off a little more with the micro because it has a ton of N in it. Not seeing any hairs yet but hopefully sometime this week. I still haven’t had a chance to defoliate but am going to try hard to get that done as well as lollipop this plant. I also didn’t have time to super crop her and I now feel it is too late into flower, i should have done it in the last week of veg!
Week was good I lollipoped her and a heavy defoliation. The one thing that is concerning me is that I must have a light leak in my tent. The flowering has been slow to this point. The flowers are just starting to form I barely have any white hairs coming from the flower. I spent some time sealing the tent and making sure of no light leaks.
This week has been a relatively quiet week. I let her grow leaves back after defoliation and lollipop. She is still drinking a lot of water every day. I plan on doing one more defoliation and that will be it for the rest of the grow.
Over the years I used many different products for fertilizer/supplements from many different manufacturers. I have some products which I really like to use and have made up my own formula as you can see in my diary. Does anyone else do this or do you stick with one manufacturer?
I personally follow a less is more mentality with supplements as a general rule. It's my firm belief that most deficiencies diagnosed are more lockouts from being " loved to death ". Beyond my pH down and Flora Trio, I just use Kool Bloom booster in flower. I dabbled with a flushing solution once but can't say whether it really worked better than just water. I get the mentality and pushing our strains to their limits can be rewarding, I just shoot for convenience and cost effectiveness in the end.
I love to make my own compost. With some of my kitchen waste. Cabbage is one of the best things to compost for cannabis. Materials I compost are cabbage,spinach.crushed egg shells.leaves around my area and Dandelion greens they're also a good source of calcium, iron, potassium, and zinc, plus B vitamins and vitamins A, C, and D. When it's composted I mix it with promix hp. Best of luck on your grows.
The week was a busy one. Starting to get some purple hues in the leaves. I had wanted to defoliate one more time but ran out of time so just going to let it ride. pH has had huge fluctuations for some reason or my pen is in need of a serious cleaning or replacement. All in all it was a good week though looking forward to the next upcoming ones!
The week was a good one. Flowering has really picked up with putting on weight and size. Still have several weeks to go. Had pH fluctuations this week and not sure why but it has cleared up.
Been an interesting week plant has gone purple and I am loving it. Plant is still not bulking although I have started adding a bloom booster. She still seems a ways a way from being done. Although some of her lower leaves are dying off. If she doesn’t start blowing up I am going to switch bloom booster to either monster bloom or swell
Started my flush this week. Going to Harvest in a few days. She has not blown up like I had hoped, but she is also no slouch. I will update next with photos of my harvest
