Seeds were dropped into water on Feb 13, into paper towels on the 14th which I placed on top of a baby wipes warmer and the first taproot came out on the 16. Then on the 18 the 5 of the 10 seeds (most were freebies so don't mind that a lot of them didn't make it) that had germinated were put in a solo cup with 3 part peat moss, 3 part pumice and 1 part compost plus 15 ml of DtE Starter mix per gallon of soil. I also dusted the hole in solo cup with DtE so the myco has instant contact with the taproot and hopefully will help the roots grow. These 5 will be going in 15 gallon smart pots with living I mixed myself with some dry amendments and homemade KNF inputs, more on that when I transplant though. The plan is to grow them with other herbs in the pot as well dill, basil, and clover all grow well with cannabis, might enhance flavor and terps and will be a barrier for pest too.

Seedlings are off to a good start. All 5 sprouted within a couple of days, between the 18 and 22. Didn't add more nutrientes but the DtE should still be enough. I hit them with some LABs foliar spray and a little in the soil, they seemed to have responded well. They look a lot healthier than my first seedlings, not as leggy and the leaves have a shiny almost waxy look. The only problem was they soil fleet for too long and developed some gnats when they had the humidity dome on and the first couple of days after sprouting but letting them dry out and a little DE took care of that. We're off and running, I've mixed the soil for their final pot a few weeks and the living mulch/IPM have sprouted back but I'll post more about that next week.

Most of the seedlings are looking good, they are short with nice wide leaves and they are looking ready to transplant too. One of the Lemon Hazes, more in that below. I've prepared the their final 15 gallon pots and watered them with the KNF inputs I made and some cal mag since it's calcium is the only input I won't be making. The JADAM Microbe Solution should add local microorganisms into the soil and really give the plants a running strat. I made the JMS using soil from a local tree groove and a bamboo patch that's covered in leaf mould, and then brewed with 4 small potatoes and sea salt. LABs will also add microorganisms and the fermented Plant Juice FPJ made from bamboo leafs and shoots will had growth hormones, microbes, and micronutrients. (Most of these were made using Chris Trump recipes on YouTube). Brown rice vinegar is store bought but it helps with nutrients uptake and makes the leafs more hardy. I used it in both the solo cups and to prep the big pots. The cover crop has begun to sprout in the big pots and responding well to the KNF inputs, I'm not sure if any of the herb seed have sprouted but hopefully they will soon. One of lemon hazes isn't looking too good I thought it was underwatered so I gave it more. Then I thought maybe it was overwatered and I made the problem worse. I'm not sure but today I noticed the base of the stem/beginning of the root was looking really thin and weak so I added a little more seedling soil to cover it up more, I since I didn't want to add more water I just used a spray bottle to water around the base only so to soil attaches. We'll see if it makes it, of not I have a back up seedling of a Haze XL from my last grow that can take it's place. I think I'll be transplanting them by the end of next week. Since this week I explained the KNF inputs, next I'll also detail the dry amendments I used when I mixed the soil.

This seedling out of 5 is the only one not looking good. Everything was the same for all of them, but this one took a turn for the worst. It's ok if it doesn't make it but I do want to know what you all think might have happened to prevent it in the future (or save it now)

Hi there, I read your diary.First, you think underwater so you gave her water and becomes like this.I think you make her drown by overwatering.Seedling at this age are very fragile. It can easily be over or underwater. My advice is Next time, If you think underwater, water 5~10ml just around the main stem and wait for her response. She should quickly recover.Happy growing... ✌️

These little ones have been transplanted! They are looking great, the roots were visible when I pulled them out of the solo cups but they were not root bound. The living crop is doing great and I hope some of the herbs has sprouted but I can't tell them apart yet. I foliar sprayed and watered with everything I listed above expect the Down to Earth dry amendments. This combination of thing will add growth hormones, enzymes, microbes and myco. The Bio-Live I top dressed over the whole pot and the Starter Mix I dusted in the hole where the I put the seedlings. Both of these DtE products have myco so I wanted them close to the roots of the seedlings, the herbs, and the living mulch. The second Lemon Auto seedling is still struggling so I didn't transplant it, its still living so if it makes it I'll transplant it into something bigger or maybe I'll keep it in the solo cup, idk. Either way I have two more seedlings lined up, a Haze XL which will go in the 5th 15 gallon pot and Speed Bud probably into a 5 gallon. I also made Sprouted Seed Tea from organic popcorn, which will provide growth hormones and enzymes. It was made of 2 Ozs of corn seeds which were soaked, sprouted, and blended when the taproots were between 1/2 to 1 inch long and added all of it to a 5 gallon bucket with all the other inputs. Lastly, I made compost extract (not tea) to add more bacterial boost after having given it the JMS early last week. Below are all of the dry amendments that went into the soil mix, each pot hold 2 cubic feet, so if you half these amount it's how much I added per cubic foot. In each 15 gallon pot: NPKs: 1 Cup Down to Earth Neem Seed Meal 1 Cup Down to Earth Alfalfa Meal 1/2 Cup DtE Crab Meal 1/2 Cup DtE Bio-Live 1/2 Cup Neptune Kelp Meal 1/4 Cup Down to Earth Acid Mix 1/4 Cup Fox Farm Marine Cuisine Mineral Mix, all bought bulk from myocal garden store: 1 Cup Basalt 1 Cup Oyster Shell flour 1 Cup Gypsum 1/2 Cup Cal-Phos

These all had a great week. Their weekly growth is impressive, and after foliar feeding and watering them with the KNF inputs I could notice daily growth. I uploaded the pictures to compare their growth before feeding and three days later. I'm preparing some alfalfa meal and compost tea for next week and also waiting for an order from Build-a-Soil. More on that next week.

This was a great week for them, they are growing like crazy. I finally got the Haze XL transplanted into the 5th pot and gave it some compost extract to get it settled and also DtE Starter mix in the hole and top dress with BioLive, both of these add myco fungi (only for transplant). I tied them all down to start training them, all of them responded well to this. And gave them the regular KNF inputs early in the week, followed by plain water and then the tea on the weekend. I also introduced aloe vera gel which was both watered in and sprayed. I got lucky with this one because a neighbor is letting me cut a leaf per week in exchange for some bud when it's all done, so I'm excited to see how they respond. Aloe vera is supposed to have dozens of properties that are beneficial, esp. proteins. I also brewed 5 gallons of alfalfa, kelp, and neem seed meal tea. 2 Cups alfalfa, 1/2 Cup kelp and neem. Brewed in a 5 gallon bucket with a small aquarium pump (from my fish tanks old filter) to move it all around for 5-6 days. I foliar sprayed this at half strength and then watered in the rest so each got between .75 - 1 gallon of this tea. Some of the used meal I threw on top but most I threw into the compost pile. Alfalfa has growth hormones or enzymes that are great in veg and are pulled out in the tea making process. Kelp adds more nutes and neem seed I'm adding as IPM. They are getting close to flower, so I'll be preparing for that in the next weeks with top dress from Build-a-Soil and a JMS for microbes.

The girls hit flower this week! To get them going I gave them a JADAM Microbial Solution at 1/5 Cups per Gallon on top of their regular KNF inputs. Next week I'm going to top dress them with stuff I got from Build-a-Soil and kick bloom into high gear. I also bent them some more and cut off leaves too close to the soil since I'm getting a lot of gnats still. I think they are looking great and moving along super fast.

Solid week of growth for these ladies. I hit them with the too dress from Build-a-Soil 1/2 Cup Basalt, 1/2 cup Karanja, a heaping tbsp of Agsil16H Potassium Silicate, then watered in the other inputs. I cut the FPJ in half this week and began with fermented Fruit Juice made of unripe mango, which is good during bloom. I did have an accident, I broke the stem of the lemon haze. Very annoying and happened last grow too. But oh well, I taped it up so we'll see if it bounces back.

Busy week for myself I didn't get to work on them all that much, but they are moving along just fine, and are thirsty AF. I gave them the KNF inputs early in the week, then plain water, then the inputs from Build-a-Soil, then plain water again. The stretch has them hungry. I did LST the auto lemon, northern lights and AK for probably the last time. I also top dressed with Fox Farm Marine Cuisine and Kashi Blend from Build-a-Soil. Hopefully those will give a nice nutrient and microbe boost for them to use in stretch.

The WWxBB is stacking up nicely and has a nice smell, the Haze XL is gonna stay small which is sucks cause I was I'm enjoying some of it now. On the other end the auto lemon is huge and only now kicking into flower. The NL and AK are somewhere on the middle. Been great to see all of them grow differently. Plants were on auto pilot this week since I got food poisoning, so they only got water this week and didn't get foliar sprayed. It's all good, next week they'll get some extra attention. (Edit: I ended up spraying Sunday afternoon, so they got the KNF as foliar spray at least.)

I skipped a week since I was a bit sick but the girls didn't miss anything and are fattening up everyday. They were looking a bit stressed and having some leaf yellowing, so I did a couple of things to get them across the finish line. I made some SST from popcorn kernels which I sprayed lightly and then watered in with the Agsil, Build-a-Bloom, Ful Humix, and some compost extract in the hopes of improving nutrient cycling. Later in the week I top dressed with two TBSP Bio-Live, one TBSP Marine Cuisine, 1/4 Cup worm castings, and a cup of compost, hopefully it's not too much N. Ive also continued giving their regular KNF inputs. I lightly foliar sprayed for the last time last week but they continue to get the inputs as a soil drench. I finally made some WCA which I used and am also making OHN which will be used on the photos next round. Thanks for stopping by.

Girls had a good week. They keep stacking on the weight. They're kind of on autopilot til the end as long as nothing goes wrong. I did top dress with 1/4 Cup of ground malted rye grains based on Coot's recommendations and also I gave a quart of neem meal tea I had made for the pest in my veggie garden, hopefully it'll keep pests at bay til harvest. I'll only be giving the KNF inputs going forward, and even those I'm going lighter on. Also lightly defoliating leaves that aren't getting sun or are blocking bud sites. Almost there!

A bit late on the update, was gone unexpectedly for the weekend when I usually update. These girls are almost ready. The Auto Lemon is ready at about 5% amber and another 10% are going that way. I'll be cutting that down Thursday or Friday. I'm also going to chop the Haze XL because it's struggling with aphids and I want to keep it from spreading, nothing a good bud wash can fix. About 5% of the trichromes are turning amber already, it's two weeks younger than the rest but it looks ready, it might be from the pest pressure, it did get out of hand pretty quick, so they've probably been there for a bit. I'm considering also chopping the WWxBB soon as well. The trichromes aren't amber yet but the fan leaves are dying and the main cola feel like a rock. Maybe just a half week more than the others. The AK and Northern Lights are about 2 weeks off I think, still has a lot of white pistols but they are beautiful starting to curl in. The smells of all of them is incredible. They are right behind my bedroom and when the windows are open it smells like a dispensary. Last week I also found out my city tap water uses chloramine so that has probably been killing life in the soil but I got a filter for the hose that also takes out heavy metals so it works out I guess. I have them a quick compost extract and probably they're final KNF watering when I got the filter to boost the biology as they finish. Long update but excited to come the end.

Chop day came for three of these! On Thursday 5/30 I cut down the Lemon Haze, Haze XL, and WWxBB. I forgot to take a picture of the latter two before the chop. Harvest report will come later. The Northern Lights and AK are taking a bit longer. Probably going to take another week. I'm just giving them humic acid at this point until they finish.

Another one got the axe! At the end of the week I cut down just the Northern Lights. It is a beautiful plant with almost no leaves, so trimming will be easy. The AK is also days away from being ready, probably Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. But before the chop, at the beginning of the week I hit them with some inputs to get them across the finish line, which seemed to have worked. I also started to trim and jar the first plants I cut, so harvest report will be coming soon as well.

The AK came down on Sunday 6/13. Some how I didn't take a picture of this beautiful plant until after I chopped it down (the dangerous of marijuana)! Anyways, here's what she looks like at harvest. I am very proud of this one. I've grow the same seed twice before and either came out this nice. They were purple but very light and fluffy nugs. That was with bottled nutes, this time in living soil she is a fat fuck of a plant. The main cola is huge, I'll show that off in the harvest report, which will be coming this week as well. Thanks for tagging along you all. Follow me in my Peyote Forum or Badazz OG Chesse diaries for my 2021 outdoor season grow.

The Haze XL is the smallest of the 5 plants in this diary (I actually grew a 6th plant in a 5 gallon and it's smaller than that too). In part I think it was transplant shock, maybe some overwatering since it was 2 weeks younger than the rest, and then pests at the end. Even with that small harvest, it developed a really nice fruity smell, which you can taste, and its covered in trichomes. I don't think it was hard to grow but others did better in the same conditions, so I probably won't be picking up these genetics again.

This plant did not get very big, might have been transplant shock or maybe some over watering. Nonetheless, it yielded more than expect because the bud was so dense. It was an easy enough grow, I'd consider growing this again.

I loved growing this lemon haze! Very easy to grow, even after I snapped the main stem she bounced right back like nothing and still responded while to LST. She didn't produce a big main cola but the nugs are an even size across the plant. Will be picking up another pack of these freebies!

Northern Lights by Seedsman was a real easy grow. The largest yielder of all 5 plants. Had some aphids towards the end but it managed well to the end. It was also really easy to trim, nice big nugs after a few clips. Great grow I'll be ordering from seedsman again to get these freebies again.

Strain was really easy to grow. It took a bit longer than the other strains but it was worth it. The buds really got dense in that time and almost greasy. This is the second time I grow this strain, first was bottled nutrients, this time in recycled organic living soil. You can really tell the difference and I'm super proud of this plant. Easily the best of the 5 strains.
