Put seed in substrate on Monday, then gave it some PH’d water, since i happened to have some on hand. Root stims such as GH rapidstart also help a ton in this stage. Cheers
Growing slow but steady. Giving this plant some floralicious plus one day really gave her a good boost to resume vigorous growth, but I’ve been removing node stems in preparation for the manifold, so let’s hope she takes it well. Cheers
She hasn’t been progressing too quickly, so adding a bit of rapidstart to see if that’ll help. can only veg for 1-2 more weeks so will probably keep 4 main branches and see how she goes
She’s slowly picking up her pace of growth, with extremely short node spacing, and I’m not sure she’s fond of topping/main-lining as a plant, last time i grew this WW she responded much better to solely LST, so I’ll keep her at 4 main Colas to the end; most likely flowering next week, cheers
She’s growing at a good pace now, unfortunately I have to switch to flower now, definitely a shame she stunted. The manifold should ensure high quality buds, at the least.
Been tweaking my environment lately due to my new setup running a bit hot at 600w. The girls are fine but I definitely want to ensure I preserve the terps through the end
Week 2 flower, big stretch. Grow tent starting to stink up a bit and she’s begging for tons of Nitrogen. No major problems and she seems healthy in all
Pungent skunkiness greets me as I try to keep my tent cool through the summer heat. The Main Line formed a comfortable even canopy, and I defoliated and pruned a bit last week in order to get a solid understory
liking the looks of these flowers and trichomes as we enter mid-flower. no problems besides dealing with heatwave temps that the plants will have to deal with temporarily - this is my first summer grow, made difficult in my current living space, which has little ac
starting to smell candy-like terps and seeing some bulking start to happen on the colas. had to flush last week due to some tip burn, but going smoothly otherwise
The bulking continues. side buds starting to become more prominent, and seeing substantial reddening of hairs begin. i’ll now begin to lower the nutes in preparation for late flower and the flush
how to lose over 1 oz of yield in late flower:
1. get spider mites
2. don’t notice spider mites until week 6
3. Amputate webbed branches to save rest of plant
my first pest ‘casualty’ of any kind, too late to spray neem or anything so I’ll likely flush now to harvest early, after this week, followed by a thorough tent cleaning. at least my other plant didn’t lose any colas
Trying this strain again to do it more justice (without mites). Got it in ocean forest soil and just started 12/12 after a decent amount of veg and two tops.
The widow’s the bushiest of the bunch, as this strain always seems to consistently favor an indica structure out of the 3 seeds I’ve tried so far. Cheers
starting to develop some nice preflowers. did a bit of defoliating as well to expose the lower buds, and will probably have to clean up the understory in the future.
Upping the dosage of nutes a bit, and did a touch of defoliation to allow for better light penetration. This widow is a bit of a beast as always, impressive leaves and flower formation
Some good growth this week, still trying to contend with some leaf yellowing. Been going hard on the nitrogen each watering, so now i’ll additionally water them more frequently. Cheers
Adjusted the nutes a bit for entering the late flower stage, watering 3x/week and turning up the light intensity for max growth. Tip burn here and there, but overall promising growth. Cheers
this lady has been easygoing and continues to output some promising growth in her canopy. starting to show some autumn coloration as the end is beginning to peak over the horizon. cheers
Harvesting soon, this plant is looking tasty and has given me no problems. Very happy with my three White widow grows from seedsman, have no fear in these genetics if you have a stable environment. Molasses only from here on out, cheers
Gonna give at least a week before chop. This lady is looking very tasty, and fading into some nice colors with a frosty effect on the colas. Very nice uniform bud formation
The end of a long diary featuring a gnarly spider mite infestation. Thanks for taking a look. Up next I’d like to try to run 600w consistently while avoiding heat issues, to improve yield. Cheers all
