@GrowDiaries you're really slipping. That 3rd pic was the exact same winner for October 2022 3rd place. And now again.
Bit of a joke. All the hard work ppl put into this. And well. I remember seen that pic win POTM before
So, if I can remember that. Why can't you? But on the other hand. You do run a lot of contests.
Really doesn't help that the same ppl keep winning though.
I'm not taking anything away from their Diaries but come on. There's so many many great growers on here. And week in week out it's always 1-4 of the same ppl that win, really have a look it really is a farce. I personally think ppl who win DOTM should be void from entering like GOTM. As come on. Look at the ppl who keep winning. They always do. I know cause its their quality of diary. But you do it for GOTM and the winners are picked on their quality of answered Questions.
And all them ppl who do keep winning.. well they'll just have to wait 3 months 🤣. Just an idea. And I'm not the only one who has said this.
Do you not keep a log of diaries, pic winners?. And @Juani I think you throwing in that pic AGAIN. knowing its a win. Well you should know better and be better to your fellow growers.
GrowDiaries, do ask ppl not to repeatly add the same pics in meme and other contests. So it's kinda a unspoken thing.

@gottagrowsometime, I would be ashamed lying under the sofa if I picked winners like this. 😅 Look at all the beautiful pics!! LOOK!!! What might GD have thought.. maybe "oooh let's drink a bottle of Jaegermeister and then blindfold and just pick 3 pictures, hihihi!" So funny.

Yeah, I seen that M. Yeah, I fully agree yield isn't everything. But, in that regard about the grows that are picked. Well, you're 100% correct.
I'm not blowing my own horn. But, I've looked at some of them winning diaries. And some don't have any comments about methods and so on. So htf do they win over my own mediocre diaries/pics and then seen these wins and ever more the really good diaries that are losing out to ppl who win a lot, while their wins could be going to others. It really is off puttin
Thankfully they're sponsors on here that don't look at awards, "but most look at likes, so means you've to put in a bit of work and reach out and interact" but, I've been picked up by others cause of diaries and details. So, I think if I do stay here. I'll just pack in the contests, as the only thing I can win is GOTM by answering like a mad thing, for a seeds. Raging I can't do this GOTM, as I'd of liked all them fems from GFS, and, I have little doubt I'll get it from D/POTM.

Some of the choices for winners are just... unexpected. Never would thought that in contest for best picture, blurry one will be on podium 🤨

@m0use, I know what picture you're referencing and yes it was shit and it almost seemed like a subliminal slight in a way.
Idk, I try to just play devils advocate and try my best to wrap my head around the possible processes they may have in place and also what the sponsors might stipulate. Or shoot, maybe they were just trying in their own way to judge in a more inclusive way that just didn't work out for everyone ( because it never will ).
My opinion is they have more staff working or possibly just newer staff judging the contests and they're tastes differ from say, the judges for next month's potm. Just a thought.

@Ctrellis90, just to let you know it wasn't 1st and 2nd place that was the issue for me, it was that terrible picture for 3rd which had placed before so shouldn't have been eligible to enter. But at least they chose a better one for 3rd place in the end. I don't think anyone who kicked up a fuss was complaining about the top 2, it was that terrible out of focus screenshot that hit 3rd originally that was a major issue.

WTF, 3rd place is a joke. I'm sure like other comments have pointed out that that picture has placed in the top 3 before. Not only that but it's an out of focus shot. I'm not a sore looser but damn there are loads of pictures this month 100 times better then that.
