White Ash Contest 2026

All that "synthetic" fertilizer i use turns it nearly pitch black. 😂 I don't want to contribute to an urban myth about white ash being a dependable sign of quality, but it can be just for fun, too. Think @m0use 's post is spot on.

Should do a longest ash contest, lol... well rolled can get all the way down to the roach. the blunts clearly have a slight advantage here... consistently smoother ash on the outside, which makes it appear whiter. I'd assume the joints keeping up are more tightly rolled than the others? again, smoother exterior, not necessarily commentary about quality of smoke.. nobody should be offended by this guess.

My submission for now ( I may update it if i can get a nicer one) Is my liberty haze. That picture i took while I was trimming that plant and testing it. So that was smoking really nice for just after drying and no cure. I do personal bong packs (and quite big ones) so I do get the piece pretty hot.

@m0use that's all true and stuff, but I liked the analogy I've heard on Proper Doinks with the camp fire. When the logs are wet they burn with lots of smoke and leave black charcoal and when they are great for a camp fire they almost do not produce the smoke and turn into white ash. Anyway, I think this one of those topics... :)
