@GrowDiaries, Yes and i know they give freebies if you vote, think why 1 strain got 3x more points but in auto category didnt. Thats why this need to be only strains what you harvested if you want vote, if they are that good i bet they will grow it and have keepers but 6 harvested diaries 1 year dont tell that. @AestheticGenetix, Not paying someone 100 usd for a clone that cost virtually nothing to produce. It's bad enough paying 10/seed that cost a fraction of a cent to make. Too many growers are too willing to throw large amounts of money away on cheaply made things. Need a little discipline... maybe a consumer's union to rein these grotesquely bloated prices back to acceptable and rational ranges. Start boycotting the price-gougers... there's no reason for seeds, clones and fertilizer to come with such premium prices. We all suffer because a large number of growers have no understanding of value.

@00110001001001111O, lol you probably won't believe me. But I pay less for these clones than I do for seeds. I'm paying 40 a cutting sometimes less. But what I'm boycotting is the idea that this site is accurately portraying top genetics. I don't think people realize that it's just based on this site. The rest of cannabis industry has different standards. And with these keeper cuts, I can keep them around for as long as I like. I don't have to waste resources on maybes. I would rather pay 100 for a guarantee than 100 for 10 maybes

@AestheticGenetix, well, yeah, if you only get 10% good plants out of seeds, that makes sense, but it's a number you made up to support your opinion and not an accurate description of reality. I can make things up that lead to the answer i prefer too! LOL, but i won't It's fine that you buy cuttings. It's fine that some people buy seeds. There are pros and cons to each. Acting as if one is superior is ... unnecessary. Clones are not all sunshine and roses. They have a risk of bringing pests and other problems lurking in the medium. Maybe, WPM was 'washed' off to sell you the clone but will just grow back in a few days after the sale, lol. Sure, a reputable seller helps, but even those will absolutely fuck you over to avoid losing lots of money if some catastrophe happens, like a WPM issue or worse. Small business owners are not to be trusted. No matter what industry, lol.... Small business owners are actually more shady than the average corporations. Less oversight and fewer repercussions for their antics due to their smaller scale. Also, none of this process is 100% consistent, so it adds even more uncertainty to scheduling and planning which adds to costs, further. Also, my time is more of a factor than the money. To get 8 plants i'd have to grow one or more clones out large enough to take cuttings or spend an exorbitatant 320 dollars on 8 cuttings, which is about 9x more than i spent to get 8 robust plants from seeds (cull the weak!). Not only that but I have to spend a month or more of electricity and time to get 8 successful cuttings. My lost time is worth more than 320 usd. Clones cost more even at a cheap price of 40 usd. The small difference in consistency or quality doesn't outwiegh seeds for my context and preferences. I notice very little difference in quality between most breeders. Are there some exceptional ones out there? Sure, but only relative to a few, but not all, of their strains offered. So much of breeder perception is about superficial reputation or charging exorbitant prices for the same shit (Anesia), lol. Any adult should know that popularity is not strongly correlated with anything important. A 'popular' product is usually the opposite of quality. There's nothing you can do about the mob making poor choices. The peanut gallery is a bunch of conspiracy theorist anti-vaccers, lol. Expecting them to make good choices based on evidence rather than feelings is a mistake.
