Has anyone had any experience with the purple colour not coming through in some of their plants? I'm not too fussed whether the colour comes through or not because the smell is amazing and they frosty af, but i was just curious if the colour development is hit or miss with these.

Ive grown my fair share of purple and pink strains and its all a roll of the dice with seeds. With clones you are getting the same genetics as the mother plant so the only variation comes from environmental stuff. The purple strains ive grown wound up being 50/50 and the pink strains ive grown i havent gotten even the slightest bit of pink. As far as purples go, if a strain is geneticlly predisposed to going purple, you can try to bring it out more by having lower temps. Dont go too low, but night time temps of like 65F has brought out the purple in some of the purples ive grown. All in all while purple looks cool, i personally think the high on most purple strains is lacking a little in comparison to normal green weed.

hey mate, beautiful flowers! The purple color is due to the anthocyanins, a blue pigment present in various plants (blueberry for example). These anthocyanins are mainly produced/accentuaded when the plants are in a somewhat cold environment (~15 C / 60 F) ) during the night, and that temperature is significantly lower than during the day (~ 26 c / 80 F)

Hey friend, I've had some inconsistencies...usually i wind up with about 50% purple variety and then the other 50% is the green pheno with some mild purple tints to a few buds. I haven't grown a purple strain yet that had consistently purple plants 100% of the time.... My c4matic by fastbuds was 50/50 and some other dutch passion etc. Luck of the draw.

Hey buddy :-) Your plant looks great 😍👍. beautiful buds :-) This is quite simply dependent on the one hand genetics, on the other hand it occurs at lower temperatures 👍 You really conjured up something great 👍
