Hi man, I've been using home depot soil for my grows. I used a few different kinds from own brand to branded. My Barney Kid is in grow bag soil. My others are in westland compost. Wasn't too happy with the westland as it had polystyrene balls in it. Any good compost would be suitable as far as I'm concerned. Maybe a non ericaceous soil would be best. Organic soil is more sustainable and environmentally friendly. I heard good and bad about expensive media's so why should it matter what you use. It's still just a plant. As long as your ph is stable there shouldnt be many problems... good luck with them.

FYI - I’m in Canada, Foxfarm doesn’t seem to be available at Home Depot or Walmart here. I will be leaving the plants in their current fibre pots, as they are biodegradable and just moving them to bigger pots.

Absolutely FoxFarm Ocean Forrest. I use that in all of my soil grows. Check them out and see the results. Good drainage, fair price, and loaded with goodies right out of the bag.

Hey there 👋 Normally I’d suggest moving your germinate seed direct to its final pot, as auto flowers have pre determined life cycles and don’t handle stress all that well. That being said, I’d recommend moving the over sooner then later, the smaller root systems will be less likely to be damaged. I personally have been using fox farm soils. Either the ocean forest, or happy frog. My local garden center sells them both, as does most hydro stores. Happy Growing 🌱
