on the premise that this is my first experience, should i already try low stress training? or maybe I risk having more harm than good? also, which site would you recommend to inquire about the LST?

Hi! I think LST is really really simple technique and I can recommend to everyone. You can search million of different styles to do it from the internet but it really does not need any instructions. You just bend the top part down and tie it up, then you watch how the side branches starts to grow more and they become the new mains. Then after a while you can bend all the new tops down and tie em up etc. Just go slowly and feel the plant while you bend so you wont snap it. You can get more elasticity to the plants stems by wabbling them back and forth between your fingers and proceed slowly! Good luck and don't worry! 👌

Hello.👋 I would say to try doing a small bit of lst...even if it is your first grow. It's never to early to start practicing things that'll make your growing life easier. Even if you don't get it perfectly right, you'll still get a feel for how the plants bend, their breaking points, what lst patterns work best etc. I think a lot of people get a good amount of info tips and tricks from the growweedeasy.com site and that's definitely a good one for showing positives and negatives. Or the royalqueenseeds blog has many practical articles, including a low stress training one. The one main tip i can give is start slow and be gentle, you don't want to snap any branches from trying to tie them down too hard or to late in the plants life when it's branches get stiff and woody. Sometimes the simplest 1st lst can be just one tie of the main stem over, it'll at least flatten your canopy some, and encourage the side branches to reach upwards and get better light and be more like main colas, versus the pine tree shape from zero training. If you wanted some idea of the natural growth pattern of the plant, you can always opt for not doing anything...either way it will be a good learning experience. Happy growing. ✌️
