Hi, first of all sorry for the loss.
In regards to growing, the best advice i can give is to not overfertilize, which is something a lot of people do in the beginning. They simply follow the label on the nutrient-packaging and that's not a good idea, as the manufacturer can't know what exact environment you grow in. And plants in different environments have different fertilization requirements. You can compare it to a long-distance runner having a different diet than a body-builder. There's no good way to generalize this, so the best method is simply to measure what they utilize (with an EC meter).
I suggest reading this website (in general they have good information in their guides): https://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Fertilizing-Smart-Guide
Then i would suggest starting a grow-diary here, as this just helps people immediately see all the possible factors in your grow, in case you have any questions (like deficiencies, pest, questions about light, flowering, harvest, drying and curing etc.)
There are also a lot of helpful and knowledgeable people here, so just ask if you have any questions.
Having said that, I would still suggest waiting until you get at least a couple of answers from different people, and then see if there's a "common factor" and go with that, rather than going with the first answer you get..
happy growing!
