YELLOWING IN DWC!

Recently a friend transplanted his Northern lights auto into a DWC set up, since then the plant has suffered severe yellowing and stunted growth. His nute feeds are optimal just as they were in his coco format and his PPM keeps decreasing. Any ideas?

Hi there, I used to grow in DWC but where I live we have a hot climate. Usually in DWC when things happen is due to root root, great unbalance of ph, too many nutes, or cyanobacteria. Most of the times I got root rot due to high temps in the grow room. Root rot shows signs of many deficiencies, nute burns, whatever bad you can think of. So I would suggest first of all check the roots for the rot signs and smell them, root rot has a very distinct smell. If that is not the case, change a the reservoir with phed water and maybe a quarter of the minimum nute strength.

that's a big change for roots. the type that grow in a water setup are slightly different composition than in a solid substrate like coco or soil. i'd stick with it, if measurements are optimal - ratio, concentration, pH etc... likely just roots not being able to handle new medium. ease off on lights a bit, as it is cannibalizing itself if all other factors are fine.
