How aggressively can I train an auto

Im going to be growing barneys farms tangerine dream auto starting very soon. My question is, it veing an auto and all, can I top? Or it it more advisable to lst only. My main concern is my tent is only 62 inch + carbon filter exhaust fan and keeping the plants from the lights

Hi mate I did a tangerine dream auto and resulted in 210g of dried cured bud and never trained it. Imo autos don't need to be trained and certainly never topped. My tangie reached 1,2 m did not need any training. I have a diary you can check.

LST is low stress.. don't snap the stem or that becomes high stress, lol...
bend all you want. i'd get it near horizontal - tied down top and a stake in middle or something so it doesn't arch.
the key is when to let the "top" grow vertically to catch up -- and it will dominate growth once you let it grow north. it may need ~2 weeks to catch up. with an autoflower, that's obviosuly a guesstimate at best as to when that is.
you can top if you want. you should have ~30" to play with assuming ~24" for light and 6" for spacing above it.
With an auto, i'd LST over topping. Bend it down 45-degree to each 90-degree alternating nodes. they'll all growth vertically on an easy path.. make sure none try to snake around a limb or apical meristem. force them on direct route. won't have time for much auxiliary growth beyond what is on the meristem.

As long as u top ur auto in good health u will be absolutely fine. Obviously strain dependent. Some varieties just dont want to be fucked with... photoperiod too.
Just dont top too close to flower transition. Do it round week 3. Happy growing fam.

I would not top. If anything you could try to find. It is alot less stress on your girl. Or just stick strictly to lay as this causes no slowing of growth at all. Cheers and happy growing!

When do you start topping? Photoperiods need to LST? Can ya'll just go look at my diary and tell me if my ladies look like they should LOL.When to top or LST? Do these look stunted? I'm super curious about methods for best yield. I'm already worried my girls are leggy (but I've gotten some great advise already to let them rest but also give them bigger pots soon).
