Experience with Silica or Humic Acid in Organic Soil?

BonyMountain

Anyone have experience to share with use of Silica or Humic acid as additives when growing organically in soil? I have seen recommendation to hold off on silica during bloom for better burn. I understand these are not necessary, but am interested in any anecdotes or opinions.

It will help strengthen the stems and buds. Most liquid feeds will contain some of both of these. 👍🌱

I use humates with all my grows. Only time had issue is in the DWC with it cloging up the airlines. Not sure about the silica, humates probably has mix of both.

I didn’t know about the fact that we should avoid using silica in bloom for better burning I will try it this run. I use mono silicic acid from aptus mixed with other stuff and it’s called regulator I been using it for 2 runs and definitely saw a better plant structure more vigorous plant and the stem is slightly thicker but not a direct change about bud quality or yield 🤷‍♂️🏻 That’s all I know about it hope I helped you with a little. Good luck with your grow homie
