Trichome is your best bet if you don’t know how to “feel” for a ripened bud.
Breeders will ultimately have the fastest POSSIBLE flowering time listed to help sell there seeds. If you go an extra week to breeder recommendations you should be in the right ball park.
Most people say a jewellers loupe is how they check. I bought one and I’m returning it. Can’t get a good enough look through the 60x to really tell. It’s a pain to get a good look and you need to check the plant as a whole really.
I just invested in a USB microscope and it’s key.

Judging Harvest dayI've been watching the trics on my crit xxl closely, I now have 30% clear 50% cloudy 20% amber.
I'm on day 62 from flipping, day 52 from noticing first pistils. I flushed twice in the last week, but am still seeing new growth.
Should I wait another week before chopping?

bright green growth on a bud in last couple days, towards end of flowerhey growbuds, approaching harvest and after experience/advice on what this green sprout on one bud is?? seeds suggest 9-10wks flower and they're just hitting end of 9, is she on the cusp of going too long in bloom? things have been cruisey so no clue what else it could be. cheerz

Flowering/Preflowering/Showing sex in Vegative Stage?Hey,
Today I noticed all my outdoor plants have pistils after being 3-5weeks outside. Is this normal and will they continue veg due to increasing days/temps? Also, could this be reversed with additional light? Currently in the 7th week of Spring with 14h light and 13h sunrise.
