Fox farm feeding for autos

Autogrowzstarted grow question 4 years ago
Looking for a feeding schedule for fox farms trio. I’m doing a auto flower grow. I’m not sure to use fox farms ocean or what for soil. But the feeding schedule is for 12 weeks. Not a fast 60 day grow. Any help? Thanks!!

I run FFOF in all my grows, and I'll tell you that you do not need any nutes for at least 30-45 days. Unless you have a strain that is proven to drink up nutes, or your auto is fast to flower, then you may never need to feed the veg formula. I do not follow the feeding schedule exactly, as far as the up/down strengths of the nutes, during the flower duration. I never exceed 50% strength, after start of feeding. As well, because FFOF is hot, I cut the soil 3:1 using their Light Warrior mix. This helps buffer the soil hotness, while adding more perlite to keep the soil from compacting during the entire grow. Good growing!

Ocean Forest can be and often is too hot. Happy Frog prob the better choice, different mix. It will be a while before any nuets are really needed, three weeks at least of starting with one of these two. The feeding schedule is really only a guide, a place to start, you will find the schedule has you using too much so most people cut the dose in half anyway. Bloom and Veg are your two major distinctions and honestly there is a shift to a single nuet package for both phases so not really that critical. Veg nuets do better in Bloom than Bloom nuets do in veg though that I can tell you. So like the Happy Frog, cut the nuets in half to begin, and wait till its time to use em.

The strain I have is a 55-60 day sprout to harvest. So I can’t follow the 12 week feeding. I was gonna go with fox farm that don’t really have much in it so I can feed my self.

Autoflower's don't necessarily mean faster run times, it just means they do not require a photo period adjustment to cycle into flower. I'd steer clear of "hot" soils like ocean because there is a good chance it can stunt the seedling. Go with a non-amended soil for autos and then do 1/4 to 1/3 feeding of a normal schedule and go up or down from there based on what the plant tells you.
