How long can I store male pollen in freezer ?

Hi I think one of my new breed, GDA #04 is a male, it is fast growing and smelling so much better, my question is I have read that you can store male pollen for several years if you combine it with flour ? What are you thoughts about it? Also do u think it is a male?

Hello
I've heard from some people that the pollen can stay good for many years.. but I know it can at least stay usable for about a year when stored properly. Just get yourself a freezer safe container or some of the zip locks for the freezer.
I've personally just stored pollen in very basic containers and it still was able to pollinate my next years plants.
*ive heard mixing with a small amount of flour to help keep things dry and useable.

How modern!
I recently learned to collect male flowers whole on the stem, and seal in a paper envelope. Store in a cool dark place for several weeks before refrigeration. Pollen will become soggy and useless if refrigerated while moist.

Hey buddy
On my 2 unknown strain plants, I'm seeing the same thing right now
Buds looking pretty good, but I still don't see any pistils on 1 of the 2
Since these are seeds I got from a bud, I'm not stressing about it and I'll just let them grow a bit more. If nothing happens by mid-August, I'll get rid of them. It didn't cost me anything anyway, I've got some CBD coming in regardless.

You'll have to pull back the little pointy cover leaf to see its bits. Can't tell if it's a male or not, but the absence of any pistils yet would give me some pause.
As for storing pollen, you can freeze for a year minimum. You may get two out of it if the conditions are right.
