Morning Mate,
At the tip of your probe there is probably a electrode.
(Wiring in a small glas ball)
It should be fully covered, so I would suggest a 3rd of the probe into the medium.
That should do it..

Forgot to mention that you probably need a separate probe for soil.

FISH SHIT during flush - why? TIA ^_^To add or not to add fish shit. The bottle states that adding it during flushing will help break down salts and nutes, allowing flushing to happen faster. Seems logical to me though I hear JUST WATER is the way to go the last couple weeks.

PH and EC problemHi, I have a problem with my plants. I´ve checked the runoff and was 7.0 PH.
When I was fertilizing I gave them nutes with PH 6.1 EC 1.2 and runoff was EC 0.4 and PH 6.8. When plain water EC 0.4 PH6.0 and 5.8, runoff EC was 0.4 -0.8, PH 6.7-7.0.
What should I do feed/not feed?

Hydro - Ec stable, Ph dropping - Raise EC instead of lowering it ?I have the feeling that when there's not a lot of nutes, PH drops but it means I have to add EC, not lower it. I noticed this when I fed them with a very low EC. I added more EC and they ate a lot right away. What did you experience ? Has to do with them eating all cal-mag ? THX

Hydro - 3 strains. What consequences after slight veg overfeeding ? Do they look dark ?I've had technical issues on veg that resulted in a slight overfeeding and now they don't want to feed much (tap water 0.4 + 0.3 nutes), 5 days after 12/12. Should I switch to well water?I use tap water. For our normal flower/vegetable garden we use well water. I measured the EC/PPM of both.
Tap: 0.5 mS/cm (=320 ppm), we live in an area with soft tapwater according to Water Agency (11°F-13°F max)
