Hello. I've run a 2 stage hydro grow for about 20 years. I use 3 parts perlite and 1 part vermiculite. This mix holds some moisture but drains quickly so I water 3 times a day for half a hour each time. The plants don't use water in the dark. so you can cut the time to 12 hours. With coir you should let it drain a bit between watering's. My suggestion is to water 1 or 2 times a day for half a hour each time. When the water drains each time it pulls in fresh air to the roots that the plants uses (helps stop root rot and microbes and friendly fungi use air too). I change my water once a week and don't flush unless I have a problem. Hydrogen peroxide hates bacteria and mold and adds extra oxygen to the water, try 1 ounce of 35% H.P. to 5 gallons of water for all flushes. I check my ph and ppm daily, and adjust ph daily. Please scope the green stuff of the top of the soil (top 1 inch or so) the plant will do better with out it. Good Luck. Chuck.
