Hello, If you're soil growing with a decent soil (like a foxfarm or similar) I can usually go at least 3 weeks with nothing but ph'd water, sometimes longer. Then you can bring in some low dose well rounded nutrients. I think having a small dose of a calmag supplement is a good idea on top of other nutes, my plants got a lot happier once i regularly used calmag. If you're growing coco or hydro or other soil less mediums you need nutes from the 1st week on...especially calmag with coco, although I'm not exactly sure why that is. Good luck with your 1st grow. Definitely try out a photoperiod when you can, they're much more forgiving with time frames...able to fix mistakes before it's too late, take clones etc.

Depends on your grow medium. Wait until the cotyledons wither.. (Small leaves that pops out of the seed.) They contain all the nutrients a seedling needs to start off with. - It'll happen pretty fast with soilless or poor soil, but can easily take a month or more with good soil. - Size of pot also changes things.. A small pot with good soil, won't last as long as a large pot with good soil, before feeding is required. A small pot is less likely to carry the plant all the way to harvest, while a big pot could if the soil is highly nutritious to begin with.

Congrats!! I leave my autos in soil alone for 3-4 weeks (depending on pot size). There is plenty of nutrients in a good soil. I usually start to feed in very, very light doses around week 5— once they start to flower...

There should be enough nutrients in the soil to last at lest 3/4 weeks.an hold water for 2/3 days so just a little water.

Heya! If growing in soil you shouldn't need nutes for the first two weeks. If using hydro or coco you will need to supplement with nutrients.

during the first few weeks water is fine then you start them on a very small feed of nutrients, just make sure not to over water when you do water. when it is time to feed remember a little goes a long way. happy growing
