I usually don’t touch them unless they are causing issues with airflow or becoming damp from respiration. I prefer to keep a good amount of leaves especially because I cut nutrients off 2 weeks before harvest so the plant will use the stored nutrients in the leaves for those last two weeks and fade out nicely!
That plant has no need for mutilation at this point... call it mutilation and you'll do it less often, because that's what it is.
Should have a specific reason to remove plant material and even then a chance it is a net negative. Sometimes a little lower yield is the intention for less work trimming or other common sense reasons and personal preferences. that 'net negative' is understood and accepted in those contexts.
Overlapping leaves that generate standing water on each other - bad. But, can you bend one in a different direction? do that before cutting anything -- same with axillary growth.. can you bend it somewhere else? does it have time to grow vertically if you do or will it just be a futile endeavour for a few more trash buds?
I don't see any congestion at moment..maybe in 7-10 days that'll be different. I wouldn't touch that plant based on photograph. you see more in real life and can make a much better assessment than i.
Some of the bigger fan leaves are covering the sprouts, so is better to take them out, do a light defoliation, in veg is always good remove some fan leaves if u do lst , so your work will work well
