Yes you have come overboard.. When growing in soil generally speaking.. soil has plenty of nutrients for cannabis to grow.. And peat based soils are Acidic by default.. So if you feed your plants plain old water from the tap at a ph of 7... Your soil growing plants will love you. Ph is important for Hydroponics and Coco growers especially. Soil growing can be ridiculously easy if you don't overcomplicate things.. Just trust me when I say the average north American potting soil that is balanced with perlite will usually grow cannabis plenty fine... Where a lot of growers muck it up is the overcomplicating things in soil.. Honestly old people who don't over complicate things tend to grow bigger and better outdoor plants because they don't overcomplicate things... They just use water with occasional top dressings or feedings of fertilizers.
