Worthy mutant?

Day 10 - very little growth in last 72 hours. Was expecting a bit more from the second set of leafs. Being an Auto, is this likely to significantly dent yields? If so I think I’ll pull the plug and go again. Last smoothie was a dud too :(

Try looking directly down on it from above and see if new leaves seem to be sprouting/emerging out of the exact centre of the plant, or if you like scientific terms, the meristem/apical tip. Keep a watch there for any new growth. If you can't see anything, then yes, this plant is a "dud", but I would give it another day or two to see if anything emerges, however, seeing as how it has been 3 days already and from past experience with this exact thing, I personally would be considering giving up on it. Sometimes these things occur, just to remind us that nature isn't perfect and to expect some hiccups occasionally. Hope this helps.... Organoman.

Thanks for your replies and whilst I appreciated the positive tone of most, Organaman is spot on. Nothing else coming through. Time to pull the plug and go again. The Green Man, my watering habits are all good thanks. I wasn’t looking for any input on that front but thanks all the same.

Hi. Don't worry, you are still in the "seedling" state, you will notice big changes in the third week. Watch it grow without haste 🤟

The next leaves should be normal so shouldn't be a problem.I'v had a few mutants,Auto's mostly. The only one that didn't happen is the one that looked llike a blade of grass.

I have had tiny seedlings that seem stunted, then they exploded and became bigger than my "normal" looking seedlings. Treat her right and see what happens. Happy growing.

Hey, I wouldn’t throw her out just yet, they can recover well in veg. Check my diary for instance, my Sweet Amnesia Haze struggled badly all the way through veg and now she’s nearly my biggest plant! I’d check your watering habits though. You shouldn’t have need for cal mag or any notes like that in soil. Soil has the nutrients to last around 3 weeks. Are you allowing a wet/dry cycle? Or is the top of the soil around the plant constantly wet?
