Ideally you want the taproot to be about 2-3cm long before planting it into the soil (with the root pointing down and the seed up).
This paired with proper conditions will ensure fast sprouting!

Paper Towel dried up on meLike an idiot I let the paper towel dry up while I was asleep, I'd say maximum 4/5 hours, as soon as I woke up I checked it and added more water but are my seedlings fucked anyway? They all seem to have opend slightly but yet to show their tap root.

Germination issue - fastbuds auto cheese - why are the taproots taking so long to show?10 auto cheese seeds - 24 hours cup of water - tapped down, then 24 hours bottom of the glass, they pop and then 24 to 48 hours in damp paper sheets within two plates. has worked 100% of the time previously. 72 hours now - why so slow? whats wrong here? short taproot? thanks!Germination.
