Below the node or at the node. Just thought i would see what results people are getting from either cutting at or under the node? Also, any tips? Currently getting roots in 7-10 days In cubes, clonex, and cutting at the node. Peace 👌

I have tried both ways and was lead to believe that cutting the stems was the "correct" way, but before this had always cut at a node for the roots to grow from there. My results showed that cutting at the node produced roots faster, but cutting at the stem made less, but thicker roots. I have since decided to go back to cutting at the nodes as I would rather have roots sooner, instead of less, but thicker roots that take longer to form -- 14-21 days versus, like you, 7-10 days, when cutting at the node. I use Rockwool cubes with 99.9% success and use Clonex purple. I also scrape the stems lightly before placing them in the gel. Hope this helps,..... Organoman.

Strangely, I've never been able to get them to root in just cubes. Below the node, snip the leaves and scrape the stem was my usual method. Tried different methods/containers/temps/humidity etc, but nada. So I tried putting one in a root cube, leaving it for 48 hrs to make sure it would survive, then put it straight in a small pot of soil and keep it wet, so far never failed me. Got a barneys Liberty haze clone on the go that was cloned like this. Stick to what ya know eh, good luck mate.
