Is this seed ready to be plucked or is it still maturing and building up potential energy? Do seeds continue to grow after calyx split, even though they seem mature? Will it grow in size further and darker or is it dormant already? Should I save the banana for future pollination?

Seed looks mature enough for collecting. If left, there is the chance it may fall out by itself, never to be found again and yes, I am talking from experience. Seeds produced this way nearly always turn into plants that will also be prone to hermaphroditism them selves. Using the pollen on other plants will also produce seeds that are prone to hermaphroditism.

Yes as organoman said this is a terrible way to go about making seeds.. You've made Hermie seeds and you'd be better to just use Regular seeds then using seeds of a hermied plant.. Not sure what your trying to do really.. Waste your time? Learn about hermaphroditism in Cannabis? either way a good little example for others to see what happens when you push the harvest window too far.

You can probably take the seed out. It looks ready. Toss the banana. Seed should be dormant, looks developed. Good luck and enjoy growing it again. 🌲🌲🌲👊

2 seedlings grew in a pot, they have different story, which one to keep? Original Gorilla Auto seedling was pulled out by a bird and then I placed it back, but it was traumatized and struggling.
I planted the last seed that came nicer and is growing.
Is it worth to remove the traumatised one and keep just the newer?
