Auto vs photoperiod lighting

Is there a way to know if a plant is an auto or photo? This seed was from a random bag so im not sure what it is. I have another plant that is an auto because i bought those seeds. So, should i just keep the light cycle 18/6 for the auto, or should i move to 12/12?

Hi!
Follow along with the other plant, the autoflower you already have. If the random seed is an autoflower, it will start to bloom on its own, sometimes even from week 4 (if you have a fast bloomer 😉) Then you'll know. Definitely don't switch to 12/12, just wait and see. You will disturb your other plant. So hoping for an autoflower, I would say: crossed_fingers:

Most autos will start flowering between week 3-6 on a vegetave light cycle. If it hasn't by say week 6, think about changing to 12/12🌱👍

I would get auto close to done so fading and switch your light schedule then to flower the photoperiod. If growing together.

Easy answer: if it starts blooming at week 3 to 5 with 18/6 cycle, it is an auto. If not:change when you find it convenient to 12/12

You will know if it’s an auto by at least week five—- after that—- keep it around or flip it whenever. Patience will tell you what it is. Good luck ✌️🏻💚🌿

keep it on the 18-6 if it is an auto it should show anywhere between 5-6 weeks, if it is a photo period it will not show any pre flower. put the plant in the 12 12 if it does not show

How long is left and other advice :)This is only my second grow and I am still learning a lot. I am growing this auto White widow on my windowsill and I was wondering how long do you think is left and if there is anything I should do. :). From what I understand it is flowering and some trichomes are turning amber.

How much longer do you think?Mother was chopped at 65-75 days and looked like these buds do. This clone is on day 45, buds seem more mature at 45 days or maybe just fatter due to better care. Buds have some ambers already, started her flush this week. Is bud sweetener(ff bembé) okay to feed during flush?

bright green growth on a bud in last couple days, towards end of flowerhey growbuds, approaching harvest and after experience/advice on what this green sprout on one bud is?? seeds suggest 9-10wks flower and they're just hitting end of 9, is she on the cusp of going too long in bloom? things have been cruisey so no clue what else it could be. cheerz

Ok im growing amnesia haze i have 3 weeks left in flower an in the last 3 days its grown abou an 8 to 10 inch stem on the very tops of the buds and is now starting the flowering process all over again is this foxtailing there in dwc chiller temp 19 light 600watt hps ph 6.1

Why not flowering ?When i look at other peoples diaries i see that their plants most likely start flowering at Week 5-6, some even flower earlier but mine doesnt look like she is flowering any time soon. Are these calyxes or do I have a herm?I'm noticing these on my plant. They all have pistols coming out of them so I don't think they're pollen sacs. I did find some pistols have changed orange this morning but it could be a fan that was blowing on them (yeah, I know I gotta fix that). 1st grow so I'm concerned.
