Harvest Timing

BeachGanja
BeachGanjastarted grow question 4 years ago
Got some decent buds growing and what appears to be a lot of pistils to me. Starting to get excited about harvest day, but a little weary. I think I let them with veg lights to long, but what are your thoughts?

You are fairly close to the light but its not too powerful. Your more at risk for heat stress then light stress. Keep an eye out for the top buds bleaching or starting to feel crispy though. If you see that you need to raise the light. Just manage heat well and you should be ok. Next time though I would flip to flower earlier or train the plant to stay more squat.

Hey everyone, hours of light was 12/12, I flipped to 18/6 yesterday to help with calyxes development. I will also take a look at lolypopping this evening and continue going forward. I have not noticed any bud bleaching but will definitely focus on the top buds as those are some of the larger calyxes. The ones growing into the light will get some aggressive LST to reduce heat stress. Appreciate everyone's comments. Keep on growing.

It looks good :) I would look into lolypopping it and some light defoliation to be sure the light penetrates well to the buds. Hope this helps. Best of luck :)

Can you explain what you mean by “veg lights”? Does your grow light have a veg/flower switch? OR Are you referring to the hours of light you have the plants before changing to 12 hours on, 12 hours off?
