What do you think about starting photoperiod plants in bigger pots like 7gallons from the start to eventually bigger pots?

Seems legit as long as you don't damage the roots while changing pots. Some people like to cut the pots' bottoms off and then put them on top of other pots (filled with ground). The roots in this case grow into the lower pot as well.
