If I understood correctly, artificial light isn't quite the same as sunlight... but I don't think putting them outside for a few hours a day will make much of a difference in the end. Sure, there's savings on the bill, but the fluctuation in temperature, humidity, and the increased risk of pest infestation goes up. In my opinion, it's not worth moving them; maybe you can try with one plant and see the difference. Anyway, a nice experiment ;) Now that I think about it... if you do it that way, there's a risk that the plant will become a vehicle for pests, and then they'll infect your whole harvest... I'd think twice about it.
