After 2-3 weeks in jars and all will be well. What ever works for you, there are no "curing police" although there are plenty of people who think you should be cast to the fury of Hell Fire if you don't do exactly what they say or follow their "instructions" to the nth degree! Cannabis cultivation is about fun, not about following a strict formula with no deviation from set protocols invented by someone in an office, who is full of theory and low on real world experience. Does it really matter if you only get 74 grams and not 81? Waiting/curing for 2-3 weeks will give you tastier buds, maybe try and have some reserve stash to smoke while waiting for the 2-3 weeks to pass. As most things in life seem ego driven, one person will say cure for 4 weeks, the next will say they did it for 8 weeks before the next one says 12 weeks before somehow they arrive at 6 months as a bragging rite. My other suggestion would be to grow some photoperiod plants if you are not doing so already, that way you will get much bigger plants than crappy autos, and with much more yield and this way you should be able to harvest enough to last you the whole time from one grow to the next and not run out between grows. Hope this helps,.......... Organoman. (and avowed enemy of autos!)

In the old days, people didn't cure at all they just dried it and smoked it. The purpose of curing is for long-term storage and to create a better flavor profile. So technically once it's dried it's ready to smoke. I normally cure for 3 weeks and that does the trick.

Do NOT try to quick dry or cure though. Guaranteed to mess it up.

You don't need to wait 6 months. You can smoke it as soon as it's ready to be jarred and after 2 or 3 weeks in a jar, most of its flavor profile and potency will be developed. Will it be better after 6 months? Maybe, but not really noticeably.
