What affect does a higher PH level have?

Somehow I have been reading my ph meter backwards and have ran 2 Blue Dream Fem at a 7.5 ph level the entire grow cycle. The plants are doing well and look great in week 11. How will this higher ph level affect the end product? Will it affect the taste, smell, or potency? Thanks

Just goes to show how easy cannabis is to grow and why stressing over having everything exact is pointless. High pH is far more forgiving for plants than low pH, and as long as your plant is healthy, your plant will have no difference in taste, smell or potency. pH affects nutrient availability, but a pH range anywhere between 5.5 and 7.5 and nutrient availability is almost identical, with mainly the minor nutrients becoming harder to obtain by your plant. Congratulations on proving to the World that pH at this level has not affected your plants ability to perform. Hope this helps,...... Organoman.

Hey bro, your ph is very important.. it allows for the absorption of nuts when under 6.5 in coco and 5.5 in organic soil. Idk your plants will be smaller from not having full nuts but not sure how big the yield will be. My blue dream plants were tanks and took all my mistakes. Might want to get a digital ph and tds/ec meters, they are cheap and very reliable. Btw thanks for the kind words, I made a few mistakes too on my grow lol but it all turned out well. Good luck man.

Not much , depends on strain , I don't know about finished product yet ,but for example , I didn't had a PH meter and I was feeding plants with nearly 7.8-8PH water , 2 of them was doing fine , 2 of them struggled a bit Not yet at harvest , but different strains so can't compare the taste , smell , potency But certainly some nutrients needs a 6-6.5-even 7 PH for optimal plant uptake , but "OPTIMAL" does not mean on higher PH lvl plant wont adapt 😜

The term for nutes being unavailable is called lockout. Can happen from ph out of whack or ec levels to high. Both very important to keep an eye on. Cheers

It will mainly affect the nutrient uptake. Certain nutes become unavailable at that high of a pH. It may affect the final product, but if they look like they're doing well, then you probably won't see a big difference luckily. Are you sure you were reading it upside down? Maybe you're just really high??
