Hey lovely people I am growing my first coco coir grow and my ladies are 38 days old today and I want to flip to flower 12/12 today Is there anything I need to do before just flipping to 12/12 and bloom nutrients? Do I need to get rid of shade leaves??

You'll get varying opinions on defoliation- some strip them down almost bare, others only remove the the big fan leaves up top, and others swear to never remove a leaf. It really boils down to your situation. Genetics, limitations of your grow lights and humidity factors all play a role in those decisions. My advice is to experiment with it if you're interested in the outcome. Thin one side more aggressively than the other and see how your plants respond then decide.

Just remove leaves that are actively blocking light from bud sites, leaves are important in flower 🌸

I would suggest removing some of the fan leaves. You'll get better light penetration and air flow. Good luck with your grow. 😀
